Ginga Nagareboshi Gin - 銀牙～流れ星銀
 

Has anyone else seen or heard of this dog anime?
For those who haven't, here's the storyline (it might have spoilers):

A young akita-inu called Gin is trained into fighting against a demon bear called Akakabuto who was killed many people in the village. Gin eventually runs off to go join a pack of wild dogs, and finds out that these wild dogs are collecting other dogs to join them to fight against Akakabuto.

I saw the whole series last year and I loved it, not too crazy on the violence and blood though (I didn't like the blood or the violence). Apart from that, its an anime that is worth checking out. I love Gin - he's so cute!

I use to love that anime. I remember Ginga recruited all of this dogs from all over Japan to fight the bears in his prefecture I believe. I believe there were even Iga dogs, lol. God this brings back memories.

I also vaguely remember a lot of 東北弁(Northeastern dialect) in the anime.

Best anime ever. I like manga too so much!

I thought that everyone has forgotten GNG. :D In Finland GNG was a huge hit in 90's. I was six when I first time saw it, and I afraid so, was terrified by Akakabuto but at the same time fell in love with it. :D

ps. please, don't you never ever watch GNG in Finnish dub, it sucks soooooo badly that you would regret it for the rest of your life. :'D
