Sasuke (Ninja Warrior)
 

So who is a fan of Sasuke? It also airs as Ninja Warrior in the states. If you haven't seen it it airs on G4 on cable television.

I've seen it ever since it started airing in the states and I'm a really big fan. My favorate of the all stars is either Makoto Nagano or Kane Kosugi, and My favorate in the Womens or Kunoichi is Yuko Mizuno.

It isn't bad - I enjoy watching it sometimes.
I wouldn't call myself a "fan", though.

i watch it when i can i think its entertaning though i nvr remeber names cuz i am lazy ^_^

I love sasuke, its a great show, #20 was awesome. :D

I'm a fan of the series!! I swear, I love Yamamoto Shingo for some reason!!! I call it a fan crush, though, since he's so cute. lol I would love for him to get to the final stage again. Curse his being married now. lol

The whole series is awesome. I wish I could compete with the All-stars...now if I only was physically fit. lol As a stereotypical girl, I have close to no arm-strength what-so-ever. lol

As for the 20th tourney, I was incredibly psyched! I was literally flabbergasted when Nagano messed up on the first obstacle of the second stage. I swear, I was watching the screen with my jaw dropped. ^^

I don't have a favorite for Kunoichi, even though I like when Rena and her mother tries the course out.

Has anyone ever been in the audience for either series or know of anyone who has been?

Oh, what do you win if you do reach "total victory"? Is it just bragging rights?

And I guess the winner would be somewhat of a super star athlete in Japan huh? Kinda like the American football heroes when they win the Super Bowl.

I was really suprised when the G4 american ninja guy went the longest.

Shingo is cool, but he's not had all that much luck recently.

Katsumi Yamada.......I really looked up to him. But his obsession with Sasuke is kinda out there. I wonder, is he still married? I hope he is.

Makoto Nagano rules. I really was suprised in this last tournament though. He may have gotten out on the second stage but he still is awsome!:D

I didn't know what the amount was, either. I had to check. You know that's about 20 K in your money and I find it surprisingly descent. But I guess the honor you receive as the victor can be priceless.

As for that American guy, it seems he was well-received by the Japanese public. If he could continue to participate despite the distance, I think he would have a good chance of making the All-Stars in a few years.

That show is AWSOME!! I also like that new show they have called unbeatable banzuke

I love sasuke! I want nagano to beat the corse! I want to try stage one but I'd be way to short for the warped wall... that is if I Could get that far ^_^

I know. It so sucks too! I wish he'd get back to the final stage again. I wish him luck for tournament 21.In one of the tournaments...I think the 8th one, they showed him writing a letter to his family. I'm not sure if the translation was accurate, but it said something along the lines of his not being a very good father or husband due to his, imo, unnatural obsession with the game. For that one, his family refused to go watch him participate, apparently.

For one of them, when he lost his job, instead of looking for a new one, he spent his six months training for the upcoming tournament.For tourney 20? Yep, I was literally out of my chair, jaw dropped when I saw he messed up on the second stage. I was like..."Nagano...no no, I'm dreaming." lol I was so sad when he lost. I really wanted him and Levi to go to stage 3 together since the guy before him lost.

Too bad Bunpei couldn't participate in tourney 20. If I recall correctly, he was sick or something. I like all of those All-Stars, although, Shingo is still my all-time favorite. I'd wave a banner with his name on it if I ever went to an actual competition. ^_^

My mother really likes Nagano. She was shocked when his height was mentioned. She was like, "He's that small?" My father likes Nagano as well.He has beaten it before. He won the 17th competition. So far Nagano and Akiyama are the only two to have ever beaten the entire thing. IMO, because of Nagano's win, that's why they made the first stage, imo, so incredibly difficult now.

Show is awesome though, i'd love to have a try at the course... although i'd never get past the second stage (if i could even get past the first) :P

lol I've been watching it too much. I watch it every night. lol The thing about my knowing about Yamada not looking for a job after losing his was mentioned by the announcer. My mother saw that one too. She complains about him every time she gets whenever she sees him. lolI would love to try it too...if it hadn't have been changed. lol Oh, and if I was in good shape and actually had arm strength. The curse of being a stereotypical female in this regard.

Lol i was joking, besides i'm not one to judge seeing as i get addicted to so many shows.

Didn't they change the course for when women go on? like when it was women only :confused: Besides it doesn't matter what kind of woman you are, you'd still never beat ninja warrior (notice a woman hasn't done it yet) ;P

Actually in the womens there has been one woman who beat the course 3 times but she lost the most recent one and was gonna go for 4/4 and her name was 三宅　綾子, Miyake Ayako. She's really bad ass and is part of the Muscle Musical.

One of my favorite Kunoichi all-stars is 小宮理英, Komiya Rie even though she doesnt win at least shes really pretty.

For Sasuke, My favorite is the american guy that got to stage 3, Even nagano said that he felt that he was gonna go farther than anyone else and I do hope he returns. When I was in High school I used to do obstacle courses like some of is shown on sasuke and i need to lose some weight lol. I do like Nagano, but I wish Yamada would get past stage 1, I think hes losing it really badly. Even though he has the Solid Snake look, he's not doing that hot.

I do miss akiyama but hes focusing on more of his family which i respect that a lot.

Yeah, it was kinda weird to see that Nagano smoked. It kinda made me want to start:D .

I didn't know he smoked, until just now w hen you said it. But to be honest, I'm not surprised. Seems a lot of Japanese smoke. It's easily accessible and stuff.

Oh yeah, watch the American Ninja Challenge. There's a point where Nagano and all the all-stars are eating together with the American guys and he smokes like a freight train:D

I love love love ninja warrior. Its so freaking entertaining I can't get enough of it. It is kind of funny though my nephews showed it to me ^-^'
I hope it continues long enough so that when I eventually go to Japan I can try the course... :pinksong:

For those who watch the show, what's become of the Kosugi brothers as well as Omori Akira (Monkey)? Omori hasn't competed in ages, by the looks of it, which is surprising, since he, just like Yamada, have competed in both Kinniku Banzuke (Unbeatable Banzuke) and Sasuke. I miss Omori.You have to be in really good shape, though, since you have to run an obstacle course, or either run or something, in order to qualify for the main thing. They only take the first 100, to my knowledge, and you have to race to do that.

I love Sasuke and Kunnoichi too!!both are great shows!!!I also seen something called "Viking challenge" or something like that I think it was in tokyo...don't remeber XD but I've seen it only last year..

I saw a preview a few days ago and it looks to be really exciting this time. The All-Stars seem to be in great shape. The other participants will come from around the world. I saw the demo vids of the four Americans and was very impressed. Thanks to the timing of the Beijing Olympics which just ended before the filming, some medalists will also be competing in Sasuke in their top shape as well.

In Finland Sasuke is presented under title "Kahjot ninjat" (crazy ninjas) :'DD

It's a good show, I enjoy watching it sometimes. Most of the time it gives huge laughter, when someone drops him/herself in the pool. :'D But the elite gyus are just amazing, when they try their best to win the competition. :P

So, were all of the All Stars back for the most recent competition? For American competitors, did Levl Meeuenburg compete again since he got so far in the last tournament?

Oh yes, they were all there. And Levi competed again, too, along with several other Americans even including the female MC of the U.S. version of the program (I forgot her name but is she hot! lol).

I won't tell the outcome, naturally. But I'm sure that you will enjoy watching this competition...till its very end.
