After watching 19 Again and seeing that if put into the position, Zac can act, I have no qualms about him doing it.

It's a good point for him, if it works, to jump start his proper acting career for. He suits Light, because he can pull him off, and if acted properly, I feel it can be a success.

I don't think he can be a good Light, but what do I know since I can't stand the show anyway? I say they should just leave it alone. Hell, leave anime and manga alone for good. Hollywood will just turn it into crap!!!

i take back my last comment on zac efron.
I too watched 17 again and its undeniable, the guy can act.

If they do make a film, i'll guarantee that all of you here would go watch it, even if you hated the idea of it. >.>

I still don't understand why everybody is freaking out about an American DN movie. Everybody makes movies and who really cares. If you don't want to see it, don't go see it.

IMO, Zac is a cutie and I do love Light... It could work. ;)

Yes. That is my only concern if they change the plot (like the Japanese live-action!) to make it more suitable for American audiences... I would still see it, but it would depend on the quality and if they changed it in a positive way.
