That should be a good place to start. These are the best of the ones I have seen.

Proposal daisakusen is definitely a great j-dorama
I like "1 litre of tears" and "Koizora" - they a both very sad ones, but may be because they are mostly based on true life, they are so great romance dramas =)

Oh I thought I would add. While Hana Yori Dango is good. I hear from friends that the Korean version is better.

I only saw HYD and it was reallu fun, it was really good!! I can't wait the see the full list you gave me... I think that japanese love stories are really beautifull

I saw koizora.. its unique.. i saw the movie and I really wanted to cry..its so sad and beautiffull..

i watch them on aznv.tv, but i pay $15 monthly and imo is worth it lol.
They have a lot of dramas, anime and movies included.
also they categorize everything so is easy to find what you are interested in.

i think another good site is Crunchyroll.com but i stop using it ;)

Densha Otoko is really good, quite funny.

Last Friends was really good. A tear jerker at times, and a great plot. : D

I've newly watched Fighting Girl (ah..yes,newly). I like Kyoko Fukada,Kenji Sakaguchi and the theme track. It deserves watching twice.
