I try to provide information on the new japanese movie that is still new and going to play in the cinema in my country... ok this is the first one?? heard about this already?? comin to my country this december THE HAUNTED APARTMENTS There are a number of strange things about the new apartment building. Aimi makes up her mind to find out what happened to a girl called Ai, who went missing on her way home from school 30 years ago. She finds one piece of evidence: Ai in fact came back to the building the day she disappeared. So why, then, did she vanish? And why, then was she listed as 'missing'? In this final episode of the hugely successful "One Missed Call" franchise, the timid, young Asuka is bullied by her classmates. When they embark on a class field trip to Korea, Asuka plans revenge by sending a disturbing photo with the message: 'If you transmit this cursed photo to someone else, your life will be spared.' The students rush to pass the photo on to save their own lives, sparking a deadly fight for survival using cell phones!

This one sounds to have the same concept as The Ring. Your life is spared if you get someone else to watch the evil videotape.

i think i have seen previews of both... i havent seen one missed call 2 yet... so i am not sure if i should watch this one yet... unless its like most asian films you dont have to worry bout it coz it has nothing to do with the first??? am i right... the previews i saw looked really scary... i might be wrong on the apartment one tho (seeing a preview) coz i think it was in korean... oh well but i did see the one missed call one... both were on YouTube... if you wanna check them out...

I don't watch horror movies japanese or otherwise, but I have seen one or two that were called horror films that really were just not that horrorific. I really like action or scifi stuff. Any way there is a new Chiaki Kuriyama movie coming out called Ekusute about hair extensions attacking the women who wear them. Sounds interesting.

I don't know if this would be of help, but, i usually check out the latest japanese movies and drama series on this website, DVDAsian.com - Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Tagalog, Hong Kong, Asian movie DVD, and it's not only for j-movies but for other asian movies as well...:)
