You can also check Death Water (not Dark Water, they're different), Kairo, Three Extremes, also check Koma, Acacia and Doll Master, although they're korean and Coma is chinese.

Yeah the 3 Extremes are always good. I liked the first set better than the second though.

And I just recently saw Reincarnation and I thought that was pretty awesome.

(I'm getting Carved from netflix soon too)

Death Note isnt really "horror" but a lot of people like it


Can you stomach a lot of gore?
If so, some really great, extreme violance/gore films are:
Koroshiya Ichi (ichi the killer), Guinea Pig (sereise), Imprint, Splatter: Naked Blood, Jisatsu Circle (Suicide Club), Battle Royale, MPD Phsycho, the Last Supper, the Hideshi Hino collection...

I hope this helps, if not I have a few more things I could recomend...
Naked Blood is just messed up...that is gore, man. I never had the guts to watch the Guinea Pig series after hearing about the scene with the cat and the rats.

GP : Flowers of Flesh and Blood...even convinced Charlie Sheen that it was an authenic snuff film (ensuing an FBI investigation into the matter)....I don't know if I can handle it >_<

I was out doing some shopping tonight and saw the movie poster. My first thought was "oh no". It will be released on Jan 4th here in the US.

Also a US remake of The Eye is being released on Feb 1st, staring Jessica Alba. I love both of these movies so im usually extra critical when they are remade for US audiences.
