i've been away for a while havent i ^^'
*gawks at the Dir En Grey pics* so sexy <3 and HAPPI (late) BIRTHDAY DIE! hope it was the best <3 |
Man, I never wished Die a Happy Birthday here!
But it's written in my assignment book, so it's all good. XDD Anyways! Am I the only depressed with Dir en grey's huge popularity in the US? [I know, I should be talking cuz I live here too. XD] But what I mean, is the fact that they're number one on Headbangers Ball and just everything! It makes me sad because all these unloyal fans are going to be listening to them, and I dunno, I'm just a little selfish and I don't like sharing Jrock with unworthy fans. >_< Gah, I'm not making any sense. XD |

I hate when I run into a Dir en grey fan; not a J-rock fan. Being in LA, which seems to be the J-rock be-all and end-all over here (along with San Fran), that's a rare case for me. I do however, run into that ones that are Anime-turned-VK fans occasionally, with the remaining 75% of Anime fandom still there. You know, the fangirly 'OMG! They sung that one theme!' types. Whenever I talk to people at the Anime Expo about J-rock bands I have to think of some Anime theme they might've did and if that Anime had made it over here yet and whether or not it's well known enough yet for it to possibly ring a bell. I hate those kinds of people. Randomness and fangirling is our thing, it really is, but it's an unwritten rule to only be either on the internet or in-posse. |

I know exactly what you mean when I went to their show it was all hot topic tweens and half of the crowd was there with their parents -.- I felt like I was back in high school. |
see, Dai.... you're totally not alone feeling that way. *hugs*

i also hate it when people go to concerts to just go. it's like, you just wasting seats for those who actually WANTED to be there. that really pisses me off. (sorry there, i was venting wasnt i?? ^^') |

It's kinda like when you have people there who were there for the group touring with Dir en grey, and have to be all jostled and shoved all over the place, by people who aren't Diru fans. There should seriously be some polling done, to see which group's type of fans fit better with Diru fans. something like that..... |

At the concert I went to, most people seemed to just be there for Diru, NO ONE could care less about their opening band, but I feel for you. What's the point of spending 25-50 bucks on a ticket if all you're going for isn't even the main event? Might as well get your money's worth, at least. |
I agree, the opening band wasn't that bad. Also, I am really glad the concert goers were i went were pretty much most an older crowd, no hot topic tweens thank god. I sometimes complain that i don't have anyone to talk to about jrock, but then again i like being the only one around my area i know of that listens to it. I heard someone talking about the gazette distantly so i got excited and tried to find them, but unfortunately failed.
