Touya 04-24-2008 11:54 PM

Tainted Reality manages Versailles when they're in the US I think is how it works... I'm not familiar with the running of a foreign band.

Drend 04-25-2008 12:15 AM

Aww, I got excited.

Touya 04-27-2008 02:35 PM

?????

What was is suppose to be?

xcfreeride 04-28-2008 08:39 PM

I love their song - Aristocrat's Symphony very much :)

VisualKei 04-28-2008 10:51 PM

:o US tour?
I WANT THEM TO COME HEREEEEE. Omigod, I'm really excited now!!!

Touya 04-29-2008 01:14 PM

They will come here. I have Faith.

Miyavifan 04-29-2008 05:48 PM

They will, seriously?

I can see Kamijo and the others live??

VisualKei 04-29-2008 06:20 PM

All I know is, whether my parents like it or not, I HAVE TO GO SEE THEM. I need to breathe the same air as them... xD

Touya 04-29-2008 09:21 PM

Yes they will come here. Have Faith!

Write them fan mail! Tell them they must come.

Miyavifan 04-29-2008 09:26 PM

*nods* I'll go do that!!

Rachaaaal 05-01-2008 02:18 AM

AHAHAHA! *points and laughs* I AM going to see them at A-Kon in May! XP I'm so excited. I'm going to try so hard not to turn into a rabid fangirl when I meet them. Erg. I wish I knew Japanese because I really want to say something to them. D: You think I can bribe the security guys to let me be in the 1st row? XD

You paid $32 for Lyrical Sympathy? o.o Wow. I bought mine at an anime store for $15.

Touya 05-01-2008 11:51 PM

>slaps new kid around<

You aren't allowed to make fun of those with seniority.

I've talked to Management and I think there are no cameras allowed at AKon. You can fan girl all you want. You'll only have memories so there.

Rachaaaal 05-02-2008 02:08 AM

Oh wow. I just read what I wrote. -w-;;; The word "not" was supposed to be in that sentence. I actually feel bad for them. All those screaming fangirls...I can only imagine what they're going to have to go through. D: And why are you being so rude, I was just kidding. Damn. <_<

TalnSG 05-02-2008 06:29 PM

Go ahead and be "rabid fangirl"! :D

I intend to embarrass my younger friends A-kon (the ones too shy to wear anything other than jeans and t-shirts). The old goth/metal/leather is out of the trunk and Taln will be in full gear for the first time in over a decade. :vsign:
Maybe if the crowd shrinks away from me I can lead you to the front. Mwahahahaha..........

Rachaaaal 05-02-2008 09:17 PM

Errrg... no. What I really meant to say was: "I'm going to try so hard not to turn into a rabid fangirl when I meet them." Honest typo. <_<;;;

Touya 05-03-2008 01:58 AM

Oooo

Leather. Very nice. I pulled out my leather corset of RToC, it's only fitting to deck up for AKon too... Take a picture of your outfit okay?

The roommate is already on notice that there better be at least one good pic of every outfit I wear at A-Kon, or his camera is going to be temporarily confiscated along and he will have to listen to my taiko practice everyday.

Sorta hard to tell what I'm asking with just these pictures, but has anyone ever noticed the thing Hizaki does with his neck/head? Every so often he'll nod or move his neck sideways like he's trying to pop it/has a crick in it when he plays, and he does it a LOT. Does anyone know why? Sometimes it looks like he's keeping rhythm by doing it, but I really can't tell.

Another story since this is, of course, the Versailles thread. My English teacher learned earlier into the year that my friend and I are both REALLY into anime and j-rock. She seemed so fascinated by our dedication to it and wondered why it was so great. Of course, I listen to Dir en Grey, Unsraw, and Screw as well, and she didn't like them and almost dismissed it (not in a rude way, but more of a "this isn't my type of thing" kind of way) I asked her to watch the Revenant Choir PV, and she was like...
[size=6]o_______o[size=2]THE WHOLE TIME! She told us that they were beautiful women (Forgot to explain visual kei to the best of my ability to her, so I explained it and she surprisingly understood it, which not even most of my friends do). I was just amazed that she liked it. She seemed fascinated at the whole otaku thing and how I can manage keeping a grip on reality as well ;;>_>

Can't wait for A-kon, etc etc, I'm probably entering the cosplay contest since they get seats near the front, and I'll hope they don't move us out to set up for the concert xD

Miyavifan 05-24-2008 06:31 PM

oh... posted at their myspace, about pictures:

MySpace

Drend 05-24-2008 07:31 PM

;__; Nooo~ An autograph will have to do I guess. I always wonder why bands don't allow photography. I hope they'll at least have photosets or those stickers on the Tainted Reality sites. Maybe posters or something.

Miyavifan 05-24-2008 08:01 PM

That was my reaction. Not that I could go anyway... less they are coming to Minnesota.

I hope they would.

Drend 05-25-2008 04:17 AM

Taken from their Myspace-

About prohibition for taking photos

Dear all,

We have currently received a tons of emails about a question for the blog we posted which was for prohibision of taking photos.

The band really wants to keep our fans happy but some people are letting them down....we have found out that some people are selling the band's photos without a permission- for a purpose to earn some money. It really hurts the members heart. So we had to made a decision like this.

I so hope you understand. Versailles will promise to give you happy times at the shows!

Regards

manager

So I guess that's why there's no pictures x___x

Touya 05-25-2008 04:31 PM

I wouldn't worry about the picture thing too much. You know people will be sneaking in cameras and cell phones. And Tainted Reality will probably have a photographer there anyways.

Miyavifan 05-25-2008 06:28 PM

@ Drend

I just saw that, and was about to post it.

@ Touya... yeah people will probably will at least try, but maybe they'll get their cameras and such confiscated, if they do?

What do you think?

Drend 05-25-2008 07:28 PM

Maybe during the autograph sessions if you ask them for a picture with them they'll say OK to it. I don't really see why they have to enforce that rule over here though, since this is their first time as a group in America, and obviously no one here has done that yet.

Miyavifan 05-25-2008 07:51 PM

I hope they would do that.

But didn't it say even then it's not allowed? Those pics can be sold too.

That's a good point, I think, maybe.

Touya 05-25-2008 08:18 PM

It is a good point. I would hate to think that people are making money off of our JRockers illegally and getting away with it. Makes my blood boil. Then the rest of us have to suffer and lose privileges too.

Generally during autographs if you ask for a photo they might. I know MUCC did but I'm not sure about Versailles.

Miyavifan 05-25-2008 08:24 PM

I'd hate it too.

I hope they will at least do that. I don't know if they're coming to Minnesota, at all, though?

Drend 05-25-2008 09:59 PM

So far, I think it's just A-Kon and LA.

Touya 05-26-2008 01:44 AM

I've been told they will come back that this is just a trial run. After all since Tainted Reality is doing their US management they should be back.

Drend 05-26-2008 01:48 AM

I sure hope so. They couldn't have chosen better members for a band.

Touya 05-26-2008 01:50 AM

I can't remember, but I thought Kamijo wasn't originally part of the band....

Drend 05-26-2008 01:59 AM

This is just me reading from Wiki, which isn't always right, but it says Kamijo and Hizaki had the idea in 2006, then picked up Jasmine, then Teru, then Yuki. I'm pretty sure the members they have now are the members that the band started with.

Touya 05-26-2008 02:37 AM

Hizaki was his own gig first though wasn't he, and then he picked up Kamijo?

I dunno. I know they didn't all start out together I just cant remember the order.

Oh, I see what you're saying. They all had/have different bands that they're in, but Hizaki and Kamijo probably knew eachother and decided on it since Hizaki played in Lareine for one of the lives. Hizaki had his own group, and Kamijo used to be in Lareine before the band split.

Touya 05-26-2008 01:58 PM

There you go. That's what I meant.

I was told Versailles it the left overs from Lareine though. That's not right is it?

Well, the only leftovers from Lareine were Kamijo xD I was hearing from some one else that when the other member split, Kamijo stayed and kept writing music, though I'm not sure who he got to play it. Hizaki did help them with their last live, so that's where you might get confused wit Versailles being the leftovers. I'm just taking a guess, but I think a few of the songs from Versailles might have been meant for Lareine. The "A Noble was Born in the Chaos" CD sounds a lot different from Lyrical Symphony and The Revenant Choir single, but then again, that's just a guess.

Touya 05-27-2008 01:48 AM

No, I definitely get where you're coming from and I agree with you on the sound. I think as Versailles grows they grow into the style of music that they want to portray.

Drend 05-27-2008 02:08 AM

I was honestly a bit shocked when I heard it, but I liked the songs anyways, so it wasn't much of a big deal.
