Aww man. I have such sentimental affection with this band! I like them when I was first getting into music. It's good to thrash about to when you've had one too many. Slipknot you warmed my little 12 year old heart <3 Haha.

I personally don't like to use Wikipedia as a reference, but look for New Metal and you'll see that it can also be written like this and if you're not convinced go to youtube.

I've seen them being classified as Rapcore, Nu-metal and Alternative, but not Speed Metal.

Slipknot is not speed metal.It is speed-new-metal.Because it haves more speed than the other new metal bands.I think they are ok but quite weak.I prefer Korn.
