Miyavifan 02-22-2008 09:37 PM

Another show that isn't in the U.S.

He's had solo songs already, hasn't he? But no album?

It looks like there are 7 solo albums, if cdjapan is right?

jrocker21 02-22-2008 09:45 PM

yeah.. but i'm lacking one album from his disco.
it's the roentgen album..i need to get that!

Miyavifan 02-22-2008 09:47 PM

Ah, ok...

I need all of them.

Touya 02-22-2008 11:37 PM

>does happy dance<

I have them all.

ajsnoopy 02-22-2008 11:47 PM

*has 666, Faith, and Roentgen* :D think my favorite is...hmm..Faith ^__^

and ya'll need to pick up the Faith Live DVD ;)

Touya 02-22-2008 11:48 PM

I had a friend bootleg that for me, and his 666 tour. They're pretty cool.

ajsnoopy 02-23-2008 12:08 AM

where does he perform for the 666 tour?

Touya 02-23-2008 02:06 AM

Dunno. It's in Japanese.

Miyavifan 02-23-2008 04:57 PM

It'll be a while til I can buy any Hyde stuff.

As far as I can recall he has four studio album releases, Roentgen, Roentgen English, 666, and Faith. The rest that are listed on CDJapan are singles and compilation albums that his songs have appeared on. I hope I'm not missing anything. I know I've been out of the Hyde loop for a while, but it would be sad if I missed a new release...

He sounded pretty cool on the 666 Tour. Didn't he so a live version of "I'm So Happy" on the tour? I think I saw a clip of it somewhere so I'm thinking it's on the DVD. That's one of my favorite L'Arc songs.

Immortalxpoison 02-25-2008 01:15 PM

yum

hyde *drool* :]

i<3him in moonchild, he is just simply amazing ^_^

Miyavifan 02-25-2008 05:16 PM

Ok girlies, get ready for some shocking images... xP

lol That's Hyde as a chubby babyyyyy >.<

x.O

MelfinaPan 02-25-2008 11:10 PM

I've seen all but the first pic. Hyde was a cute kid wasn't he? I remember reading that his mother used to make him wear dresses when he was really little. Poor dear.

O_O OKay if your talking the albums like physical copies I only have Faith. My friend riped the others for me from his actual copies. Does that count? Those aren't technically downloads....

MelfinaPan 02-26-2008 04:08 PM

I was an avid Laruku fan so I have all of Hyde's solo album releases. Don't get me wrong, I still love L'Arc, but PSC groups kinda drew my attention away from them for a while and Plastic Tree became my new favorite band.

I kinda hope Hyde puts out a new solo album eventually though. I like what he does on his own.

NanteNa 02-26-2008 05:18 PM

Agreed. ^^ I luv whatever he makes actually. O_O'' His cover of ''Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds'' is adorable anyway. XD *giggle*

oh man!! that's one of the encore pieces on the Faith DVD XD I just about keeled over when he did that!! I like how he kept the original melody and words and hardly changed the piece itself ;) of course, adding his amazing vocals just made the song even more hardcore!

Any news on if he's going to be doing another solo album soon? after the Laruku tour and everything, of course ;) don't want him to get burned out O_O

NanteNa 02-27-2008 08:46 PM

HAHAH! XD omg. Yushies!

His accent is SOOOO funny on that song. *dances*
But his vocal in general kicks ass. O_O So deep and full and... rawrrr...

ajsnoopy 02-28-2008 02:25 AM

perfect words to describe his voice!! XD 'deep and full and...rawrrr..' Kudos!

Think that's one of the many things I love about HYDE; his characteristic voice ;)

Touya 02-28-2008 02:27 AM

>snickers<

Cause it's obviously not his height.

MelfinaPan 02-29-2008 10:43 PM

^Aw, poor Haido. Sure he's short, but well...he can sing lol It is amazing that such a powerful voice comes out of such a small man lol

I always felt that Hyde is one of the best rock vocalists I've heard across the board.

Touya 03-03-2008 12:57 AM

I disagree. Hizumi is better and short. (So is Ruki)

MelfinaPan 03-03-2008 09:11 AM

Well, I didn't say he was the best. I said he was one of the best. If I said he was the best I'd have to disagree with myself. I will say, however, that as much as I adore Ruki, I don't feel he is on the same level as Hyde vocally. That's just me though (and I'm sure Carry would kick me). I haven't heard enough of Hizumi to form an opinion.

Touya 03-03-2008 02:45 PM

Okay. I let it lay.

HYDE is good, but I don't listen to him as often as I do everyone else. I guess its cause his music is old now...

HINT HINT!

New music needed!

MelfinaPan 03-03-2008 04:46 PM

Oh, I wasn't arguing, just clarifying my opinion. You have yours and I have mine. It's all good :)

You're right. We need new stuff from him. I actually prefer his solo stuff to L'Arc material now because as a group they're becoming too "poppy" for my liking. Hyde alone is much more interesting.

NanteNa 03-03-2008 07:43 PM

I wouldn't call his voice powerful. O_O I'd call it deep and rough. :''3 True rock'n'roll!

You noticed that too? Kind of reminds me of Arashi.

MelfinaPan 03-04-2008 09:12 AM

About L'Arc poppiness? Oh yeah definitely noticed. It's not bad music, but I prefer a rockier L'Arc. I think now they release things just to release it and stay together for the sake of the name. Their indies stuff is so much better in my opinion.

*Hugs Dune album*

Anyways, you hear that Hyde? Get going, we want more solo Hyde!

VisualKei 03-04-2008 07:56 PM

Hyde's solo stuff is better than the L'Arc stuff. NO COMPARISON.
When I got my hands on Roentgen, I liked almost every song on the CD. And with most of Laruku's CDs... I listen to them through and I like maybe two songs on them. They're way too poppy.
Oh, and check the heights of most of the greatest Jrock musicians and you'll find that they're wicked short. :)

Touya 03-04-2008 10:58 PM

>nods<

Most JRock Gods are short. Minus like three(Toshi, Gackt, and Miyavi).

I think that "kiss" is just something that they did. It feels like no time was put into it at all.

I definitely prefer Faith, or 666 over that.

MelfinaPan 03-05-2008 12:16 AM

I agree with both of you :)

I have Kiss and I haven't listened to it yet. I really should just to get an idea of what it's like.

I think of all his albums Faith is now my favorite now. I like the feel of the whole album. All three have a distinct atmosphere to them though. Wow, I haven't listened to 666 in a while. Now I'm in the mood to listen to it.

NanteNa 03-05-2008 12:18 AM

I prefer 666 and Roentgen. O_O''

cami71213 03-05-2008 12:20 AM

Hyde!!!

I love Hyde!

He's my background on phone and computer!

I'm glad you thought of putting a thread. ^_^

*nods* Me, too. I've only listened to a bit of Faith, but it wasn't spectacular as far as I could tell.

NanteNa 03-05-2008 12:34 AM

Well.. I'll always see Roentgen as being his #1 album. Also cause the name is danish.XD mwahhah!

MelfinaPan 03-05-2008 12:53 AM

I'm just in love with Countdown and Perfect Moment so that makes me partial to Faith. I love the others too.

What he accomplished in Roentgen was great. It was such a departure from what he did with L'Arc previously and it seemed almost like he emerged from a cocoon when he released it. Definitely a wonderful way to set himself apart from the band and create his own identity.

Touya 03-05-2008 12:56 AM

>points up<

Everything you said.

Although I have to say I like 666 better then Roe... whatever. I never could spell it and no point in mangling the spelling now.
