is there any good snowboarding in japan? i love snowboarding and wanted to know if there are any good places to go in japan and if anyone has been snowboarding in japan and US and which they like more
-thanks |
Northern Japan is skiing/snowboarding heaven! There are countless winter resorts in Northern Japan but the quality of the snow may be best in Hokkaido becasue it gets powder snow. I myself loved staying at the Tomamu Resort in central Hokkaido. People say Niseko is also excellent.
In case you prefer places that are nearer Tokyo, there are Karuizawa, Minakami Kogen, Hakuba....just to name a few. There are too many to name because 80% of the Japanese land is mountainous, so it's almost made for winter sports! |
Snow Japan
We have skiing / snowboarding resorts all across the country.
Hokkaido, Nagano, Niigata, among other prefectures, recently attracts winter tourists from Australia, Taiwan, Korea, etc. Check this out! Snow Japan There's a discussion forum there. List_of_ski_areas_and_resorts_in_Japan |
