I enjoy swimming very much. My friends call it my second nature, but I can't do anything special....only a dive and swim. Haha, it might be my second nature, but I'm very horrible at it...my best thing to do is swim across the whole deep end of the public pool.

I like swimming and its really good exercise, especially when its a bit chilly. My first swimming lessons were in the spring, but it was in Ohio and 40 degrees outside in an outdoor pool. At least the water was warmer. You can bet we didn't waste any time standing around.:coldbear:

When my younger became a competitive swimmer it was even better, because his older teammates were fun and good looking. I became a timer, and later a diving judge, partially because the scenery was so good. :D

Hello :ywave:

Swimming is fun....Skaboarding is cool....But my biggest obsticle....Is remembering how to stop when roller blading....roller skates were a lot easier.

deathnotegirl 05-12-2008 02:49 PM

ahhh... i love skatebaording... it;s like my life its so much fun... swimming is fun too...

Nakishee 05-12-2008 02:53 PM

I swim lots, every Sunday in The Edge, not lately though, it's still chilly, but soon I'll start up again.
The only thing I can do on a skateboard is sit down and roll down a hill. I can roller blade better than anything, cause I ice skate.
I love swimmin' the best though...hmmm smell that chlorine

We have a lot in common. :D

I don't know much about swimming in Japan, other than the Olympic athletes.
My favorite Japanese singer loves to swim.

They seem to call freestyle stroke crawl over there.

Yeah, I am sure I could.
Swimming and diving are about the only event in the summer olympics I still watch. And I enjoy seeing how close my scoring is to the judges on the diving, though its hindered by only getting whatever the camera shot is. But since the '70 the camera people seem to know more about what they should be framing, so the scores I would give are pretty close to the real ones.

Judging swimming when you aren't poolside is futile. The camera and the water distorts touches too much and other than appreciating the skill of someone's turn or their pacing its all up to electronics anyway. Most competitive swimmers don't foul up their take off, but you can see the psych games and nerves going when they take the blocks, even on a TV screen.:)

I learned swimming when I was a wee-boy but I still have not forgotten the skills.

chibichick83 09-25-2008 09:33 AM

I used to love swimming a lot when I was much younger but haven't really got the time anymore nowadays to be able to go swimming anymore as much unfortunately but I know that when I eventually do again I will thoroughly enjoy it as it's one of my favourite sporty things to do of them all :)

lol not me. I can swim decent but am not good enough to race. Plus I can't do any tricks except some backflips and frontflips and handstand. But not off the diving bopard, just in the pool.

Hyakushi 10-10-2008 04:12 AM

I really like swimming and surfing but I'm more into swimming in the ocean reather than a pool. I like diving down and looking for clams and other things that have been lost at sea, once I even found a pair of sunglasses. I don't live in a place by the sea though I wish I did, I'm more into snowboarding and skiing :D .
