I was in tokyo just a few days ago and we played table tennis in Shibuya.
There was this 9F building with bowling, pools/billiard, etc on different floors
and on the 9th floor you can play table tennis. Great place we had lot´s of fun.
I´m gonna se if I can come up with a more detailed description on how to find the place.

This is completely unhelpful, but if you haven't seen the movie Ping Pong, check it out when you've got a chance Ping Pong (2002). I think you'll like it.

I´m sure you can find a partner there to play with.
I don´t know if they "tutor" or train players, but it wouldn´t surprise
me, just ask once you´re there.

I googled mapped it and If I remember it
correctly it´s right across the street of restaurant Concombre
(or at least very close to Concombre):

Hope this will make you find it!
Let me know if you do.

I have always wanted to buy that movie, but I have other Japanese films I want to buy first...

About the whole ping pong thing... My best friend and I always starting playing innocently, but then it starts to get violent and somebody ends up getting hurt each time we play ping pong... I seriously don't understand how it gets that way, but we have so much fun every time!!

Go to the Olympics. I'm sure there can help you there? I've never heard of a place where you can train your ping ponging skills.

Come to my school because my friend and I are trying to make a useless skills club (we honestly are) and one of our highlights is ping pong.

Re: Table Tennis

I am a competitive table tennis player in Japan. I play with a club at the local Sports Center then train with another group every Saturday and Sunday in Yokohama. If you are a competitive player (Have experience and have played sanctioned tourneys) and would like to hit let me know. Do you have any ranking? If you are a beginner I suggest going to your local Sports Center where you can play for free or a small fee around 500 yen. All wards in the Kanto area have Sports Centers and you can meet people there who will hit and help you.
