How are we acting like Dante's a real person? I know he's not I'm just a very big fan of Devil May Cry ever since I started playing. And just like in Final Fantasy you get attached to a character and you feel sad, happy, or whatever if something happens, for example when Aerith died in VII.

I'm not a fan of Trish either and I'm a proud supporter of DantexLady. I HATE DantexTrish. I've got a damn good reason though, if anyone remembers from the first game she was made to look like Dante's mother, Eva. And if Dante did do anything with Trish (sexually) me and my friend says he has "mommy issues".

Since no one knows Nero's true decent yet, I've started going on that he could be Dante's son. Just how he acts around him it seems like it could be. Hopefully if he is it's Lady's son. I've also found Dante quotes in the game that could prove this if anyone wants me to put them down. I also believe the other rumors such as that he's a distant relative, another of Sparda's son (he was over 4000 years old after all and might still be alive), or they might not be related after all.

I love the original Devil May Cry, I think it's Team Little Devils had a stroke of genius there. That game had the potential to evolve into the best action game franchise ever.

But then the masterminds left. Itsuno and Kobayashi take over and ever since, I've lost interest in Devil May Cry.

Have Mikami, Kamiya and Ueda remake the original game and I swear to god it will make any action game look like shit. Including eery other DMC game combined.

Wow...There's the reason for the reason Dmc 2 sucked so bad. I personally like dmc 3 and 4. I would love to see the gothic theme of dmc 1 again. It put a great feel into the game.

What really makes me dislike DMC now is that they're so influenced by Japanese anime, whereas DMC1 was more American and... well... I could go on and on about this but I've done so enough on the GameFAQs forums. What I can say though is that DMC1 had far more personality than the other games. All you need to do is replay DMC1 first, and then replay DMC3. Do not pay much attention to combat, rather let yourself be immersed by these two games outside of combat. You'll see what I'm talking about.

I've played all of them except 4 (don't have a ps3) and I have to say that DMC2 sucked ass. Majorly. DMC3 shows Dante's more cocky side though, which makes it my favorite :p

Okay. I'm not sure if anyone straightened this out, buuuuuuut. the reason why he, meaning Dante, no longer has his sarcastic one-liners, is because he's way too mature for them. He's merely focusing on ridding the world of demons and chaos in the world he lives in.

That is the reason for his dmc2 attuidude I know. But he still had the cocky side that everyone knows and loves. I think if Capcom wants to turn Dante into a more serious guy to gradually show us, not us go from "Here's a cocky, guy who loves one liners!" to *emo Dante*. They also need to keep the dmc 3/4 VA, him or the guy from the first one. I couldn't stand the VA for dmc2.

I think the Nevan and Cerberus were the best weapons for 3. I played one or two missions on 2, and dropped it. I'd like to play it just so I can say, to myself if I have to, that I've beaten almost all of the DMC games.

I think one of my favorite boss fights has to be the one with Mundus, where you're flying through the darkness. Mostly because of Sparda's devil trigger move.

I liked the Angi & Ruda, Mundus, and Cerberus fights the best. They also made me laugh. I always need a good laugh. I think the funniest scene would probaly have to be Angi & Ruda scenes.

Why does everyone try to make up theories about Dante's personality? It's very simple.

Hideki Kamiya, when he created Dante, he had a vision about his personality, inspired by certain things. The creators of Dante from DMC2 interpreted him wrong, maybe they were lazy, w/e. The reasons aren't story related. People who say that DMC3 Dante can act the way he does because he's young are wrong. Hideaki Itsuno's vision of cool is this really over-the-top thing that the last two DMC games have. Because Nero has it,and so does Dante. It doesn't matter whether or not you like DMC3 Dante or DMC4 Dante, they're still very out of character when compared to the original Dante.

Two different creators, two different games, and different styles.

Games are still good tho none the less. Nero is my fav char by FAR. I think he looks cooler plus the "Go blow yourself!" line to Sanctus made me laugh out loud. Which is rare these days =/

My favorite character has to be Dante and it will always be him. What does everyone think of Nero's origin? Is he another son of Sparda, a son of Dante, a son of Vergil, a long lost relative, or was he experimented on and he's now half demon? I don't think I would be surprised with any of those. But I'm going with he's either the son or Dante or Vergil. I'm pushing more towards Vergil since Nero's WAAAAY more calmer than Dante. But if he is Dante's whoever Dante got pregnant (hopefully Lady...*shutters at thought of Dante sleeping with Trish*) Nero could've gotten it from her.

my thought was that he was born like that. because i think i recall Nero saying "God, i don't know why you gave me this (Devil Bringer)" and how the leaders were some sort of demon so that's a possibility.
and i personally wouldn't think Vergil could ever reproduce naturally. Dante on the other hand....so that's a possiblity.

GAAHHH! DMC pisses me off. I can play EVERY video game fine, but DMC. I can't get past the first through fourth level in any of them. I just can't do it. It's too hard for me. I can go off and play my little games in which you have the hardest puzzles to solve or bosses to kill, but I don't have the capability to play DMC.

I want to play it soooo badly, but I suck ass. I bought this set which has three of them and I don't have DMC4. This is a game I want to play, but can't do.

The first DMC was way too easy and near impossible to lose to any boss when you have your devil trigger activated.

The third installment, however, GREATLY downgraded the devil trigger to the point where it was useless. Your weapons are less efficient (especially your firearms) and the bosses will blitz you many times before you figure out a good strategy to beat them (anyone who didn't lose once to Vergil in the last fight must've cheated)

o.O What are you talking about? The devil trigger in 3 was still really good. It just didn't turn you into a walking god. It greatly improved your defense and attack, and only big attacks would knock you down. You still had to be careful when using it, that's all.

Yes, it was good but I find it doesn't last long enough to make it useful. I didn't max out my DT gauge but I don't think a larger gauge would've made much of a difference.

Yea, it really did.

One thing I loved about DMC3's DT gauge was using it for burst damage, not an all out thing. Just pop in when you're going to recieve fire and counter. I haven't played DMC3 in forever though but I still use 4's in a similar way.

Okay, I'll try to find a time when I can go on a big red orb hunt because those devil stars don't come cheap!

Beaten the game? Bloody Palace = Best place to get red orbs. Seriously, I have over 100k on Virgil and everything maxed/purchased. Depending on how well you pay you can get 10,000~30,000 a run, if not more.

Hiroyuki Kobayashi said there were no plans for a DMC movie unless if someone from Hollywood contacted him about it. And I doubt anybody from Hollywood would think of doing a good DMC movie because this is America, the most narrow minded country, pretty sure it is.

Nero is most definitely part of the family because Dante wanted to keep Yamato in the family, and gave it to Nero, so that's an obvious way to know, but Nero being Dante or Vergil's kid?! EWW for some reason I absolutely HATE that thought. I like the thought of... brother. I was thinking Dante's nephew, but that would be Vergil's kid, which is still, weird. I have a GREAT feeling Nero would be another brother since he IS like Vergil & Dante.

Devil May Cry is my favorite game of all time!! I can't really play it (lik most other gun and sword slinger games) but I love to just sit there and watch someone else play it. The anime is just as great! I love Lady, she kicks serious arse! But I wish Trish would die. I just don't like her... Other than that I love the manga, games, and anime!

Lol, yay, another Lady fan! I love Lady, but I hate Trish. The game is actually quite easy once you get a hang of the controls.

Playing as Trish in DMC2 was great.

I didn't like Dmc2. I wasn't able to finsh it. I personally thought it was the worst Dmc.

even though it sucked, at least you got to fly during Devil Trigger :o
i finished it though, i didn't think it was as hard as the other ones...

In Dmc3 if you buy Nevan's Air Hike you can also fly during your DT.

Yea... it wasn't even that good though. I mean it was cool how you could rain lightning down on enemies but it just expended your DT wayyy to fast.

DMc is on a completely different level from the other DMC's. Its atmosphere and design beats any other DMC game.
