Haunting Ground (Demento)
Does anyone here like Haunting Ground? I think it's called Demento in Japan.
|
Heh, yea I played it. I loved ending A because Fiona struggles to get the key into the lock. Hewie calms her fears and she manages to unlock the door. However, Hewie begins barking which catches Fiona's attention. From the double doors, Debilitas comes out with hedge clippers. In a tense and awkward moment, Fiona and Debilitas stare at each other. Debilitas simply bows to Fiona. With that, she and Hewie walk into the darkness of the forest. Debilitas looks at the overgrown trees in the garden and begins clipping the trees. To get this ending, the player must defeat Debilitas using the chandelier. This does not kill Debilitas, but rather causes him to retreat and thus no longer pose a threat for Fiona during the remainder of the game.

I haven't played it in a while, and I have only beaten it once. We defeated Debilitas with the chandelier. Is A ending the only one that you get from defeating him with the chandelier?
I love Daniella. When she goes nuts and she's chasing you around all robotic like... I think that's one of the creepiest images I have ever seen in a video game. Especially when you hide and she finds you. |
Well, I've never played it before, but I love watching it when it my sister plays.
It's such a suspenseful game, and it's got an interesting plot. I love it. ^^ |

I love this game, it's easily one of my favorites. To be honest with you, I thought it looked stupid when my fiance brought it home, but now I love it! |
^_^ Wonder if there would be a sequel.
|
Doubt it, but it would be awesome. Lol. Now I want a Haunting Ground siggy...

I'll probably end up trying before the day is over. Lol.
|
Youll probably try doing what?
|
Making a Haunting Ground siggy.
|
Ahh. Ok, Good luck, if you ever need a design contact me. ^_^

It's always looked really intresting. I've never played it though, I want to. If anyone has played Resident Evil 4, if you freed the dog at towards the start of the game, that dog kind of looks like the dog in Haunting Ground I thought. Does anyone else think so? Yes, I haven't played it but I have looked up things about the game. If I remember right Haunting Ground was also made by Enix/Soft (which ever one made it) so it could always be possible that they included Hewie in it. He's defenitly a cute dog I want one like him.

Your right about the hiding spots. Daniella really scared me when that happens. Especially when she makes this sound "Ahhhh" like a vampire when she finds Fiona  O.o. You know I like the part when Daniella screams at her own reflection. I was even freaked out when she did that. |

(BTW: Not to derail the topic, but if you free the dog, he helps you later when you're fighting El Gigante in the village. If you don't free him, he doesn't help you.) Quote:

It's my favorite game ever! I ended up playing over and over until I got the unlockables for Huey to be a plushie!:D
