XII didn't have a sappy love story, like every other FF. Don't get me wrong, I like the sappy love stories. But XII lacked them.

I prefer Kingdom Hearts tbh. The gameplay I find is better, and the storyline of 'friendship' is nice. Plus I like being able to play in some of my favourite disney movies.
