Assassin's Creed

Just to let the mods know...I did a thread search for Assassins' Creed, but the only thread I came upon was one talking about Assassin's Creed before it was even released.

I have been really obsessed with Assassin's Creed, so I decided to make a thread where everyone can state their likes/dislikes about Assassin's Creed. Also, please state which system you have played or bought it for.

LINK: Ubisoft | Age Gate | Get Age

Also, judging from the link below, Assassin's Creed 2 may be in development already!

LINK: Philip Shahbaz It says that Altair's voice actor is already lending his voice to Assassin's Creed 2!

My opinions...

I am playing Assassin's Creed on the PS3.

I absolutely love the graphics, gameplay, physics engine, lighting, EVERYTHING about this game! The concept is awesome, and the the realism really makes me yearn to play it every day.

Some people think it gets repetitive later on, because you do have to assassinate eight people before getting to the last guy. BUT, there are three main cities that you bound through. Each one has poor, middle, and rich districts, so you have different areas to explore. You have templars (special soldiers who automatically recognize you) to hunt down, flags to collect from each city, innocent people to save from the clutches of soldiers, people to pickpocket, conversations to eavesdrop on, fellow assassins pf the creed to help out and much more!

You can also travel between cities on horseback, which I must say, is very realistic. I have a horse, and I know how they move. The realism of the horses in this game is one of the best I have ever seen.

I highly recommend this game!

So, please rate this game, and state your opinions about it. XD

I like assasins creed better than anything else. You are right about assasins creed.I like that you are a character that is the past and the future.

At first, I hated this game before even playing it! I was at a event called Fuse 07, and it was a gaming tournament combined with Battle of the Bands and a set by Dir en grey. And the bastards must have played the Assasins Creed trailer on the big screen literally 20 times before the band came on, so we were stood waiting for Dir en grey for 7 hours because of these damn game trailers xD

Anyway having played the game a few times I really love it! The enviroments are so rich and I like the way you control the guy and the concept behind it. The movement of the characters is amazing, it's very fluid and the whole experiance is very cinematic. Good job I say, from the short time I've played it I find it's a pretty nice game!

I think it is the MOST beautiful game that I ever played. It is amazing to think that games are going to look even more realistic a few years from now.

Also, there is already a second Assassin's Creed in production. I will try to find a link.

EDIT: Philip Shahbaz It says that Altair's voice actor is already lending his voice to Assassin's Creed 2!

I beat it on PS3 and it's a great game. I really want another free running game. Mirror's Edge is up next. Hopefully it's really good.

On a side note, the new Prince of Persia is looking decent.

I'm liking the whole cinematic movement that games are going through at the moment.

koaku 06-02-2008 09:48 PM

That simply look AWESOM

animelover32 06-02-2008 11:46 PM

I haven't played it yet. It does look very good though.

I'm eager to see the modern-day assassins. When I saw all the kanji in the end, I was excited to see whether or not they'd be basing some of the storyline in Asia.

As for the game itself... It's my type of game.
There are a few things I wish'd they'd implemented, however, like: Night-time assassinations, changeable outfits, more option of weapons, drag-and-kill abilities, etc.

I am excited to see if the story is set in Asia as well.

All of those would be awesome if implemented. I would also like a replay feature, like when you are running from the guards. It'd be neat to be able to watch a replay of Altair slipping through crowds, gliding across buildings, engaging in combat, etc. I would like it to have an option of slow-motion and different camera positions as well. That would be awesome.

Your idea of more outfits would fit the story well, since it would be smart of Altair to change his appearance, but I quite like his assassin outfit. It makes him look mysterious, which is one of the features I like about this game. If he didn't have a hood, he wouldn't look as dangerous, in my opinion. XD

I do think that Ubisoft should make the guards smarter though. After so long, word should spread about the "assassin's" appearance. His appearance was more known closer to the end of the game, but even then, the guards didn't take much notice. XD That would make the game even harder though. The streets would literally be impassable.

And yes, a larger weapon roster would be nice, but I quite like his hidden blade. It is my favorite. XD I like being able to take down a guard from behind, swiftly, and effortlessly with his hidden blade, he is very swift with his dagger, his throwing knives are ideal for killing off guards at a distance, and his blade deals a large amount of damage. I think he has all aspects covered, in my opinion. A bow and arrow would be a nice addition though. heh heh

Oni 06-03-2008 02:51 AM

I have to agree.... a bow would be nice...

drummachick 06-03-2008 03:53 AM

Great graphics
Same missions 50 times over(But at least there's plenty to do)

I really liked it but the ending was total GARBAGE! Super disappointment.:chikasfrown:

chenli 06-03-2008 01:50 PM

Haven't completed it but it's a great game, and is better to play in short bursts rather than rushing to complete (which I know many people have done then complained about repetition).

Thunda 06-03-2008 01:57 PM

Planning to buy it. I love games where you can freely roam. (GTA IV) ;) I will buy both.
