Ok, I'm curious; What is your favorite Japanese RPG? Choose anything, from any system.

My vote goes out to Persona 3. People don't know it very well where I live, but it was a great game for the PS2. Anime cut scenes, great character designs, contains both elements of a High School sim and an action RPG, awesome story, mostly amazing voice acting (a few weak ones), and about a million other things.

Star Ocean for snes is my fav rpg, thats what got me into rpgs

There aren't many RPGs I like for 360. Eternal Sonata had very little enemy variety, every battle felt exactly the same because each new area you get to has one or two different enemies. Plus, along with that, at the start of a battle the enemies will be positioned in one of maybe 2 possible positions, which means a maximum of 4 different battle looks. That takes the fun out of every battle except for the bosses. Lost Odyssey was almost the same way, it had more enemy variety but was also glitchy and the animations were bad in most scenes.

I don't really like many Final Fantasy games, the only ones I've loved are FF1 and FFXII. The others have too many minigames and the environments, enemies, and battle system isn't as interesting to me as the what is in Dragon Quest.

Xenosaga Ep.1&3 - I loved the story/plot and especially the characters.

Recently finished Luminous Arc, that was pretty addicting...I need to go get me a copy now. It came out last week ¦3

FF 13 Versus. even though its not out yet it gunna be AWESOME

If the battles have as much variety and the scenes are as emotional as what Nomura helped do in Kingdom Hearts then FF Vs. XIII will definitely be awesome.

hmmmm. I guess my favorite JRPGs are:

In no particular order. If I had to choose the overall favorite, it would probably FFXII based on fun factor. I dug Shadow Hearts' story more though.

I stopped playing the FF series after I got about 95% through FF X-2... partly due to no more time avail. Although I have been playing Disgaea... hehe.

One RPG I wish I could play is Agarest Senki... too bad that's never going to come to the US probably due to it's mating system. Although the PS3 themes are AWSOME... :-D
