I just bought myself an "Elite" I got the pack from EB games - 120gb (Are all elites 120gb?) I used to own a 360 - around a year ago, had it for 4 months and sold it to buy a PS3 - had my ps3 for 4 months and sold that for.. Camera Stuff (I dont even remember what stuff) But i wanted it at the time.

For a while i was happy with the PS3 and even posted on this forum (I dont know what thread) Saying i prefferred it over the 360. Tho the PS3 had horrible screen tearing which was always really annoying.

But im a former Fable, Ninja Gaiden and Gears of War fan and with the releases of Fable II Ninja Gaiden II and GoW II i thought it time to invest in another xbox.

Also - i enjoy playing online rather than by myself. And it seems that the XBOX is slightly better for that. Tho i enjoyed playing the PS3 online. Wait times could be a hassle (Could of been due to timezone.). Me and a good friend compared our wait times for the same game and the wait time for the PS3 was alot longer.

Since its Christmas soon iv decided to treat it as a present.. to myself and only open it on Christmas day.

Im only a Recreational player but once its all set up ill post my gamertag and see if anyone from JF wants to play.

I really want to play Fable II, but alas I do not have a Xbox.

However, for the PS3 screen tearing, did you buy a HDMI cable for it? I have no such problems with my PS3.

Is Fable II really all that? I have played the first Fable and love it dearly. I don't have the second one though and wanna know if its good or not.

fable 2 is a definite upgrade from fable with its larger map but its still lacking in many ways, so don't expect much of a difference.

holy shit its awesome. the land is much bigger, you can do more things in it and there arent any fences like in the first one. i just started playing it but its really cool.

The game im currently playing though is LEFT 4 DEAD. anyone else play it yet?

Fair enough. The main reason I bought a PS3 is so I can get ready for FFXIII:Versus.

But I've never experienced screen tearing at all.

Me and 2 mates all played it for the first time (Not against each other) we just took turns, iand it was really good fun.

It gets ridiculously hard tho.

We all had a go at dragonforce on expert and all got boo'ed of stage within 5 seconds haha.

EDIT: i wana try rockband tho - The drums look fun.
It is fun with friends. But by yourself, the fun is very limited.

Although, I recommend getting drunk with friends and playing it then. The fun is immense.

Rock band is great, but seriously, 80 pounds? I'll get myself a practice drum kit, and a drum lesson with that money.

What exactly is this screen tearing you speak of? :confused: The only reason I'm even considering a PS3 over the Xbox 360 is because I thought it didn't have as many problems as Microsoft's console (plus the Blu-ray, of course :D). BTW, has the "red ring of death" issue finally been resolved?

It is resolved. I still prefer XBOX over PS3. PS3 is just too expensive and the only difference they have is blu ray and free online gaming other than that, they mostly have the same games.

If I'm not mistaken, to play DVDs, you also need to buy a different sort of hardware for the Xbox which costs around 50-100 pounds. And to be honest, if it's true, (Which is what my friends told me who all got Xboxs), then it roughly comes to about the same price.

Well, I was talking about the XBOX 360, my bad. Anyhow, yes, you still need some sort of stuff to play DVDs, IF we are talking about the original XBOX. But for 360, it can play DVD without needing any hardware.

I meant the HDDVD. My bad. But it still stands.

If you get the HD DvD add on, you pay the same price for the Xbox than if you had bought a PS3.

So, technically, they're the same price.

I've had my 360 for over a year and I think it's the best. I downloaded The original fable and Ninja Gaiden on my hard drive, and I bought the sequel to both games. Ninja Gaiden 2 was great graphics and is a great challenge, Fable 2 is crazy fun and I played it for hours and hours. However Fallout 3 is the first game that gave me the same feeling I had when I first played Zelda Ocarina of Time.

Yeah, they have a bunch of "Xbox Originals" avaliable for download. Fallout 3 is Awesome!! It could get a little depressing a times, but overall it's a solid game worth buying.

360 FTW ib played both the 360 and the PS3 and the problems i encountered with the PS3 are just plain annoying. The amount and quality of the games on the 360 are just phenomenal. I love Mirrors Edge, COD4, Mass Effect and a bunch of other games. Until Sony gets their act together i wont be touching another PS3. I dont mind paying for Live its stable and its fun $50 a year is nothing PS3 is free but there arent really a lot of games worth playing on it.

Recently got my own 360 for Christmas, along with 3 months of Live, and Gears of War 2. "NightFolger" is my gamer tag if anyone wants to add me for GoW2. If you wanna play GoW2, send me an invite sometime, although I'm not on Live very often.

Besides the 360's friends community, which is great, the PS3 OS is better in my perspective, albeit younger. But, this is a 360 thread, so that's as much as I'll say.
