how do you people feel about dissidia i preordered it looks really good but i dont know if it really is

I am one of the biggest fans of FFVII, but even with that being said, the whole Cloud/Sephiroth story is getting a bit tiresome. I feel that they should just remake VII on the PS3, and be done with it. Having them in Dissidia will only further spoil the legendary status they had pre-Advent Children. Just my opinion. I enjoyed Advent Children though(before all of the Dragonball Z type flying around). I would still play the game though.

I agree, the Cloud and Sephiroth thing is starting to not seem as cool anymore. I kind of wish they had put different FFVII characters in it for that reason.

I watched some videos of Dissidia of full battles, and it looks pretty fun. I'm not sure if it is worth $40 or not, though. It looks like something I may only have fun playing for a while, and then put it down for a long time.

I've had it for about 4-5 days now and it is amazing.

I've got about 20 hours in on it so far.

This is fan-service at its best, BUY THIS GAME. Easiely the best PSP game out there IMO.

I'll second that! I've only had it for 2 days, and it is so awesome, I can't even adequately describe it. Most of my time not playing (i.e. at work) is spent waiting to be able to play some more. And if Cloud and Sephiroth bother you, don't worry -- they are only a drop in this sea of characters.

Like Quailboy says, BUY IT, especially if you dig the entire FF series!

I picked this up at midnight on the 24th. I was there for the midnight release of Batman: Arkham Asylum and the guy saw that I had Dissidia preordered as well so he offered it to me then.

I've been waiting for this game for years now. But for some reason I've found myself playing Arkham Asylum much more. like a 7:1 difference.

What I have played of the game I have extremely enjoyed. Maybe when I'm done with Arkham I'll be playing this alot more.

Exactly..even if your not a FF Fan, BUY IT. This game is extremely competitive if you have friends that have it, or if you have Xkai Link.
I cant wait to get my Terra up to lvl 100 ^_^

I started with Squall but he got a little boring to me..idk. I'm going to try out Kuja after Terra is done leveling ^_^

And I think the hardcore fans will love all the little extras they've put in the game, espicially the alt outfits ^_^

Right now I play Terra..her ex is nuts but her hp attackr are hella hard to hit with, I beat chaos just a bit ago after an hour or so

i am on squalls story now

I really like him but his range blows, I hear kuja is good, imma lvl him later

i heard that chaos is a pain to beat and is one of the hardest enemies in any game

the only reason he's hard is cause you fight him 3 times in a row, only the last fight was hard though..level 60 or so is a god time to fight him

yes and he is even harder the second time you fight him in inward chaos

how do you unlock that?

I bought it in May in Japan. It's a bit difficult to navigate because I cannot read Japanese that well but I am a huge fan of the series and it looks very promising so far, although I probably would make a lot more progress if I knew how to properly update my characters. ;-)

yes some parts are difficult once you learn how everything works you will get used to it leveling up your character can make such a difference

Good thing is, no characters play the same way

if your a ff fan, get it

if you enjoy jumping around and dodging all day, this is the game for you. combo's that do no damage but build up your power, once power is high, you attack and take tons of life. i'm not a big fan of the game... really good graphics and concept though, just not into the *hit enemy for power then devastate in one move*

Theres more to it if you get lvl 100's and good gear.

its also good when you get level 225s

Dissidia captured Kefka's personality VERY well. Too bad he's a bit too hard to use as a character, his only good moves are Missing Zero and the shattering Blizzaga.

Now that a lot of people own the game, I can start talking about the characters.

*spoiler alert*

Here's my classifying of characters in the game, some I didn't bother mentioning:

Excellent :
+ Warrior of Light (his Shield of Light is highly effective in all situations!)
+ Kuja (Remote Flare for an easy combo, Flare Star is very hard to dodge as is Ultima)
+ Golbeza (Genesis Rock is a really good shield and is hard to miss with, great combos leading up to Cosmic Ray, instant break of enemy with Black Fang - nice!)
+ Tidus (very fast brave attacks with nice HP attack follow ups, too bad his HP moves suck)
+ Cecil (Paladin Force for a guarenteed map break)
+ Frionel (guard breaking axe attack + Double Defeat an excellent combo. I also like how he can heal massive amounts of HP in EX mode through Blood Weapon)

Crap:
+ Exdeath (very slow moving, teleporting is highly predictable and most of his moves are easy to dodge)
+ Ultimecia (most of her moves suck. Apocalypse is not bad)
+ Emperor (Flare is an exceptionally good HP attack but apart from a few annoying brave attacks, he has nothing else. No decent air HP attack! Meteor takes wayyyyyy too long to charge)

Fun to use:
+ Gabranth (he's fun because you can kick some serious arse when he's in EX mode but ONLY when he's in EX mode - useless in normal)
+ Shantoto (her magic spells are fun to use and they vary depending on what buttons you press and your amount of brave)
+ Kefka Palazzo (fun moves and his attacks get "trickier" in EX mode)
+ Cloud of Darkness (heaps of HP attacks to use. Destroy your enemies in many different ways)

Boring:
+ Cloud
+ Sephiroth
+ Garland
+ Jecht
+ Butz
