I got mine on release date, couldn't have been happier..

Oh gosh don't get me started! I waited in line for it! I was 9! It was the best time of my 9th year on earth.

I think I got mine in March from Japan. The packaging had the president of Sega on the cover. It was pretty cool.

Haha, that must have been awesome! I still have mah box and stuff, not too sure why I kept it.

We still play MvC2 on it from time to time.

yea jet grind radio soul calibur and sonic adventure the dreamcast had graphics way ahead of that time it was a truly advanced system

People are saying there is going to be a dreamcast 2 since they stopped making gd roms.

gd roms are what the DC1 used..I"m pretty sure that Sega is done with consoles..it would be an amazing announcement at TGS though..

Yeah they said they wanted to focus more on software when they killed sega.

sega went bankrupt and only makes games now just like nintedo with the virtual boy they lost money from the dreamcast when the ps2 came out

Sweet platform with rubbish controllers.
DC was the nutz as it wanted to bring the arcade into your home. There were even a few link-ups where you could take your memory stick to the arcade and continue your game.

Mine is in the UK in storage but I have about 80 games on my HD still.
If ne1 needs a copy of a hard to find game, give me a shout and I will see if it is in my archive.

The Dreamcast is awesome! Totally ahead of it's time when it came out. I remember it was so easy to pirate games :rolleyes:. The one from my childhood broke but I purchased a new one at a garage sale in Berkeley for $10!! Came with two controllers and a bunch of games.

Anyone else own the black verison?
