Tekken X Street Fighter
Woop Woop!
Who else is excited?! This video is from the Capcom version of the game which will run on Super 4's game engine, but Namco are also making one which runs on Tekken's game engine. The game appears to run on a tag system similar to Marvel VS Capcom series with single player super combo's and tag team super combos. Looks VERY good!! Whch will you buy? Which characters would you like to see? Who would be your ultimate tag team? I'd use Blanka and Kazuya :D And yes, I will buy both versions :D |
I will probably get the tekken version because I am a die hard tekken fan, but I recently got street fighter and love; so there is no doubt in my mind that both will be equally good.
|
Both cuz its awesome like that |
I would actually prefer the Tekken engine, but I have a strong feeling the SF engine is going to be favorited in both commercial use and tournament play. Kind of like how most gaming tournaments and even commercials (unless exclusive) are on the 360 in the west.

Well, I'd take that video with a grain of salt, we're not supposed to see any representation of a final version for at least a year and a half or so. The video isn't even showing an Alpha version >.<
But, that aside, I think both versions wil lsee a good amount of time in competitive play if the're made like Super 4 and Tekken 6. My ideal team? Urien and Kazuya. But I don't see that happening. =/ |
Wow... that video was awesome!
I will take the Capcom version.. because as you can see above it just looks so good. Also, when it comes to 3d fighters... all are inferior to Virtua Fighter 5 so the Namco version for me is just going to be Tekken plus the gimmick of SF characters in them (which equals... lame). Finally... Capcom just have better artists. I can imagine the Namco version of Ryu and co being plastic looking 3d renderings with little in the way of facial animation (which is what Tekken characters look like to me) |

VF5 is the king of 3D Fighters. |

But yeah... VF5 is the king... only drawback is it has a steep learning curve which I think is why Tekken became more popular. Tekken is just easier to learn because it is a shallow game. |
Gotta love it when you see a pack of nerds screaming like little girls and wetting their pants at the same time.
|
Such a nice video really ....i would buy the tekken version cause i really adore that game ... for me, it is the best fighting game cause it's soo realistic and sometimes i try to learn some movements and techniques from the characters ... my favourate players are (lei Wulong and Raven)

If you want a realistic fighting game you should get EA Sports Fight Night or UFC Undisputed. |

Yeah Ronin, back in the good ole days man.
|
This is the first I'm hearing about it. I will get both, but, yes, VF5 rules all.
|
I am yet to play VF5 but I am a hardcore Tekken and Street Fighter fan so I'm really looking forward to this game! I'd love to see mass crossover fighting game like an official MUGEN or something, like Capcom VS SNK2 where you could choose what fighting system you wanted.
|
Nice.. can't wait to play it in the future..

YouTube - BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger Review
BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger what i think - what he said. tho tekken 3 has some nostalgia and is still fun to play on ps2, i still prefer this one rather than SF4 or others. |

Btw Quailboy, I bought VF5 today as per your recommendation. Shall give it a go later, it may be the best fiver I've ever spent!
Topic: are you sure there's no alpha stage yet quailboy? That looked like pretty good ingame footage to me, even if all there is to the game so far is Ryu and Kazuya with a stage they threw together? |
I have most of the Tekken games and the only Street Fighter game I have is Street Fighter II: Collecters Edition... so I think I might go for Namco's engine than Capcom.

Topic: Yeah, that was just a demo of a very rough outline of what they're hoping to achieve, probably not what the final version will look like at all, expect Alpha footage around Spring 2012 |
