E.g. Wii sells cos of its motion based games... now the games are nothing special but most people buy the console cos it does something "special" that other consoles dont do. so we get entertained by the actual console more than games these days...

msot people thtat play games these days judge a game on how it looks, not how it plays... so its not really about games nemore (in my opinion anyway)

The PSP and the DS have different games, different imput methods, in just a couple of words: they're totally different. You can't compare them.
Get both and have fun!

I'd buy a Wii because it has Zelda and Metroid Prime.
Or a PS3 because it has Metal Gear Solid and Devil May Cry.

I feel it's kind of sad that people would do otherwise.

Oh and if anyone can recommend some good PSP games it'd be cool... Final Fantasy Tactics interests me. It just seems that a lot of them, eg. Tekken, are simply cut down versions of the PS2 games, whereas a lot of the DS games eg. Castlevania, Metroid are unique to the system.

lol, i'm not asking you to. i'm just telling you how it is... i worked in a games shop (gamestation) for 3 years. i got a fair idea of what makes a console sell and what doesn't.

If games and consoles were made for "true gamers" these games companies would be out of business

Ummm....Ps2 outselling wii?!? Maybe TOTAL! It's been out how many freakin' years?!?! The stats show that the Wii is the best selling home game system of all time. Outselling the Ps2 in the same period starting both their release dates. Keep dreaming...

Yeah, only a few games come out what is made to play...like FF.
Others are just to have a little fun, like XBOX games (sry man, again :mtongue: )
And they play 5 games a day and call themselves gamers...

haha. don't say sorry. you're 100% right...this is why i like xbox... i'm not a "gamer" i'm the kinda guy that plays a console when i'm bored and never actually completes a game unless i'm doing it with someone... i'm more into multiplayer games that don't take much to have fun

I'm sticking with my PC and not worrying about console wars. :mtongue: I can chat and play games and post things on boards and watch animes all with the same machine. :vsign:
