Teenage Girl Looking For Japanese Pen Pal Via Mail or Email
 

Hello, I am Laurel! I'm a 15 year old, soon to be 16 year old, American girl who lives in Maine, which is in the north of the United States. I have been interested in Japan for most of my life, and my mother, grandmother, and great grandmother have all been to Japan.

I would very much like a pen pal from Japan, male or female, and we could either converse through postal mail or by e-mail. I am looking for a pen pal anywhere from 13 - 19 years old. I am very interested in many aspects of Japanese culture, including food, language, art, people, literature, movies, and anime and manga.

If you do not have a full grasp of the English language that is OKAY! I do not have a great grasp of the Japanese language and I am very patient.

Here are a few things about me

I love Japanese Horror films, but I also love Studio Ghibli films. My favorite is Kiki's Delivery Service.

I like Manga and Anime. One of my favorites is Mixed Vegetables. I also like Naruto, Minima, Strawberry Panic, and Honey and Clover.

I LOVE traditional and non traditional Japanese, Chinese and Thai food, including dumplings, curry, white rice, Miso soup, seaweed, tofu, and sushi!

I love eating with chopsticks and packing bento box lunches.

My favorite colors are gold, red and blue.

I'm really short and have red hair! I also speak some Japanese and am teaching myself to write Japanese!
