Help me learn/improve my written Japanese.

Hi,

My name's David and I'm from London.
I took some lessons a couple of years ago but had to stop due to work.
Now I'd like to start again and I'd like to work on my writing, grammar and tenses, maybe just by having a written conversation through e-mails/ PMs?

I can't offer much in return but I can help make your English homework/ written work sound/look really good!

I hope someone replies to your post, but in the meantime, Lang-8 is an excellent language exchange.

You basically write blogs in your chosen language, and native speakers will come and correct you and give you tips on how to improve your Japanese. (In return, you can visit their blogs and help with their English.)

Lang-8 - Multi-lingual language learning and language exchange | Lang-8

I've been using it for a while and it's been very helpful!

Good luck with re-starting Japanese!

Not that it's necessarily needed, but I can echo the helpfulness of Lang-8. Definitely worth checking out if you're serious about learning the language.

If you are stuck for what to write about, ameba blogging service have an excellent feature called blog net kuchikomi (I think this means something like chit chat/common topics)

Ameba (アメーバ)|ブログを中心とした登録無料サイト

Basically it is a set of questions about anything from your favourite type of ice cream to what you think of underage drinking problems.

I am at a low level but find the odd question I understand enough to answer.

Pick a question you understand click on it to put it as the title of your post, write an answer, your answer gets rated and you get pretty items for a little avatar thing. You can also click to read who else answered the question and read their blogs.

If you have any questions about using ameba feel free to pm me, I found it quite confusing at first.
