I am going to say what I can say as a Japanese speaker about the three terms that you have created. None of those would sound or look like a good technical term to Japanese ears or eyes. They simply do not make sense to Japanese speakers. Those are linguistically almost impossible and very strained-sounding words for us. 動き(うごき) is a simple and plain originally Japanese word with Japanese sounds. 気 is a Chinese loan word with the Chinese-like sounds. Normally, we do not combine two words of different origins, especially when one (気) is much "higher" and "bigger" as a word than the other. I have just come up with this new word 転気(てんき). It has none of the unnaturalness of the three that you came up with. It is Chinese-on-Chinese but when Japanese speakers see it, they could easily visually "see" the meaning of it because of the kanji used. They could easily imagine that it is about "moving a 気 from point A to point B". But then again, I know nothing about 気功, so please take what I have said with a grain of salt. What I have said in terms of linguistics, however, you can count on. Those three DO NOT work. |
That was a great help.
Thank you. |
