What do most people think of piercings in japan are they frowned upon at all?

older generations do. but if you have noticed a lot of japanese people have piercings. i think that having a lot, like your whole face pierced might be a little intimidating for elders.

It's becoming more acceptable, BUT I wouldn't go to a job interview (unless it was at a clothing store or something) with any piercings in, especially non ear-pierces. High school students are often not allowed to have any piercings. I wouldn't get a tattoo in a visible place (i.e. neck) if you plan to work as a teacher or something like that.

Also how would a tattoo behind the ear be.
