If i work as a teacher in japan and I also do realestate via a computer in new jersey and new york city...how does the whole tax thing work out?

I'd also like some Japan tax help as the tax time is a coming and i have no idea what I'm doing, but I've got some friends who tell me to ignore it and evade...

I don't feel that's the soundest of advice.

So what would I do would I fill out tax for usa and japan.then what do I put for how much I made or would I put how much I made at my job in japan only and how much in the us only?

i have no idea - that's why I advised visiting the tax office, people there get paid to know this kinda thing

If you are making money in the US, you are going to have to declare it and pay tax on it. The money you make in Japan should also be declared but unless it is over 60 thousand or something like that, you don't pay tax on it. Most people I know have not filed until they got home and from what I understand have never had any trouble with it.
