I'm actually planning on going to Japan to study abroad when I'm a soph in college. My parents are unsure because I'm apparently not mature to go to another country on my own (I kinda agree with them for now, I'm only 15). I think you should just look for an exchange program and talk to them about it.

although you are not going to have much luck studying in japan unless you are pretty fluent in japanese. you would need to take a language program first. quite a few universities offer a language program you can study which you can then, if passing entry exam, you can enter the universities.

you know just for shits and giggles i did a search for japanese university fees and guess what? there were results. so you should try searching and doing some research yourself.

you can get scholarships to help with your study, i had the JASSO scholarship. but there is no government funding, support system, as far as im aware

"College" is a term we use to describe both the years we spend there and the place itself. However we use the word "university" which only refers to the actual place. For example, it wouldn't make much sense if I said something like, "When I was in university, I remember..."

I don´t know about the methods in japan, but I think it depends on the teacher, cause I had one teacher which said everything which wasn´t in her history book (the book was about 20years old) is wrong and i only got bad grades from her :( I like to see how it´s in japan, a friend from japan said i could come for a few weeks to him and watch some days in school :vsign: Maybe it´s funny to watch lessons^^ ;)

i have the same question, the only problem is i don't know how to get started... i want to study music there because i believe the culture there can help me to develop my skills... but can someone tell me what do i do first? i've just finished school, waiting for my O-level equivalent results to come out in March... please help, cuz i'm lost :(
