I'm actually planning on going to Japan to study abroad when I'm a soph in college. My parents are unsure because I'm apparently not mature to go to another country on my own (I kinda agree with them for now, I'm only 15). I think you should just look for an exchange program and talk to them about it.

for the record, i don't particularly like the education methods used in Japan, having studied with japanese students not just in 'gaijin' classes the method of teaching is very different from that used in australia and i found myself hitting a wall with many of the teachers who refused to accept opinions outside of their own thoughts, especially my teacher for the UN relations classes i took.. my god, she actually told us NOT to research for our end of semester paper and refused to accept anyone's paper that had researched. |

I don´t know about the methods in japan, but I think it depends on the teacher, cause I had one teacher which said everything which wasn´t in her history book (the book was about 20years old) is wrong and i only got bad grades from her :( I like to see how it´s in japan, a friend from japan said i could come for a few weeks to him and watch some days in school :vsign: Maybe it´s funny to watch lessons^^ ;) |
i have the same question, the only problem is i don't know how to get started... i want to study music there because i believe the culture there can help me to develop my skills... but can someone tell me what do i do first? i've just finished school, waiting for my O-level equivalent results to come out in March... please help, cuz i'm lost :(
