I found this site today and was wondering if anyone has had experience with them. I looks like a good way to do a study abroad program on a budget. I know I probably won't get credit at my college but it sound like a good way to learn basic Japanese and spend a couple months in Tokyo.

Go to a language school that is close to you its less expensive.

My college dosent offer study abroud programs in Japan. I might next summer just go to Japan on a vacation and wait tell I transfer from community college to a 4 year school to do a study abroud programs. Besides, if I use my Asiana Airlines Credit Card to book a ticket, I get double frequent flyer miles :)

Why not try a self study method? It is far cheaper for pure beginners.

I am almost certain that the school they list on that website is the school that I attend right now. However, you don't need to go through an agency to enter the school. You can just e-mail or call their office directly:

ALA

As far as experiences with the school itself, so far it's been great. I've learned a lot in a short amount of time and the teachers and staff have all been very helpful.
