Depends on how you look at it really. It may be complex, But I think that he(or she) was referring to the fact that a normal person won't get it because Japan is complex. People born outside of Japan are intelligent also.

well I know that I look at things a little deeper than most.....so I've gotta be more complex.....wait, I'm having a moment of irrashness.....maybe I'm not that complex.....

I have no idea what Banzai is referring to, but you'll have a great time Tokyo Twist. No need to "watch your back" when school is out and Japan is not as complex for the visitor as Banzi claims.

Since I am not living there at present, I cannot tell you which places to go to have a drink or anything as I am not familiar with that scene anymore as I usually visit the places in my old neighborhood outside of Tokyo. Maybe someone else can chime in who is living there.

Are you going alone? Do you have friends there who can take you out? In Shinjuku and Shibuya and Harajuku you should be able to just go about anyplace for a drink and meet new people without any hassle. Have a great time and tell us how it was when you get back!

IF YOU IS NO LIKE JAPAN PLEASE GO YOU COUNTRY. Stupid foreigns.

I live in Japan and both Pachipro and Banzai are correct.

Japan has a very complex and subversive culture. There are currents and eddies swirling around the conversations and communication that foreigners simply cannot fathom. But if you take the country at face value and don your favorite pair of rose-tinted glasses you will be blissfully unaware of the undercurrents and will probably have a good time.
