Go up to Aomori. The whole area gets buried in snow every year and it's beautiful. Great hot springs up there so you can soak in the hot water looking up at the stars and the gently falling flakes. Outstanding.

Yes, it does but only very occasionally. The southernmost part of Japan where it snows is the Yakushima Island, which is part of Kagoshima Ken.

The only Ken in Japan that gets no snow is yours, Harold.

"cause it's not in the mountains. Since most of Japan is mountainous, there will be snow even if it's in a similar latitude.

I've always liked the snow, but it doesn't snow as much around here anymore. We haven't had a really good snow, imo, since the 90s. Maybe it'll snow this year.

As for Japan, seems that Aomori, Tohoku, Hokkaido, places like those, have significant snowfall.
