When i think Harajuku i think unique awesome style i love the way girls from ther dress its cool and interesting.
|
I think of it as a tourist attraction, as there are generally more tourists there than cosplayers and people dressing up. I think of Harajuku street, ABC mart, the McDonald's cafe, and the nearby Shakey's pizza place.
I also think of middle-aged Japanese rockabillies drinking mugi cha (barley tea) from Jack Daniels bottles as they dance shirtless to American 50's rock music, only taking breaks to comb their duck-tail styled hair. And I think (when I go there) that I would have better spent my time in some other place, like at the beach, in the mountains, or in the old shita-machi parts of the city where the old Japan still exists. |
overpriced... but hey compared to the shops in omotesando.. it's probably cheaper..
it's a place full of contradiction, that is why it is interesting and fun to visti :D |

Gwen Stefani is a pop singer and... oh come on, if you don't know, just go google it. It's not hard. -_-; |
Loopwheeler, Design festa and Meiji Jingu for me.
I got my first Loopwheeler tee shirt about 10 years ago and found out the were in Harajuku, I always promised myself to visit if I ever went to Japan. I went there last year and bought a one off piece. Design festa is always fun to visit and it is free. Meiji Jingu is a really nice break from the madness outside. |
haha, I think Johnny's Entertainment :D :D :D

I think of a place in Tokyo that I actually know very little about.
The next thing I think of is a fashion style that I definitely know next to nothing about. And as for Gwen Stefani, I didn't even know there was a conection until right now. I've got to get out more . . . . |
I think of a place in Japan that I can likely go and buy something electronic.

The parc there is really nice, people relaxing, singing....Felt like going back in time...
