My female japanese friend says I'd never fit in around japanese guys in japan as I'm too much of a gentleman?

I think that means his wife saw Japanese men as unsavory or depicting what he had previously stated, and decided she didn't want to date them even though her father wasn't like that.

I'm not too sure about bank account, but as long as you settle that, it is hella easy to get a phone.

Not too sure about the paying part for the phone, because I only bought a SIM card and was only charged for the registering fee+phone bills by the end of the month.
