shipping EMS from Japan

I have question about shipping EMS packages from Japan to other countries (mainly thinking of Europe).
Can you ship EMS package from any Tokyo/Kyoto postoffice?
Is it hard to communicate in english with postoffice staff (my japanese is very basic)?
Is it also possible to buy shipping boxes on the postoffice? Or do I have to look in different place?
Thanks!

Yes. Any small one will do it.

Yes. It will be as hard as it will be for us to get any service in Japanese in your country. So it's all fair.

They have different size boxes and large envelopes at the post offices.

English isn't my first language, but I understand what you mean ^^;;

How about shipping slightly bigger boxes? 2-3kg? It's not a problem, I hope ^^;

Thanks for answers :)

if you are only sending 2kg or under you can send it with economy air mail (SAL) wich is alot cheaper and only takes 2 weeks (compared to 2 month by sea and 3 days by EMS). Maximum size is Length + width + thickness = 90 cm.
If you choose to do so make sure to tell them that it is SAL otherwise you´ll pay the normal airmail cost. 2kg by EMS (to germany) = 4600, by Surface: 1080, normal Airmail: 2760 (5 days) and SAL: 1980

try to take someone who knows japanese with you to the office, it can be difficult the first time (even in bigger offices)
