Help in choosing a RURAL location based on my criteria.

I will be applying for JET 2011. To improve my chances getting the place I prefer, I am opting for rural. I prefer to live rurally (had enough of living in cities!)

Ideally:
Southern and warmer winters, (don't mind hot summers).
Coastal, with access to fresh fish.
Isolated or not isolated, town, village.. not a city.
Child friendly

Thoughts
Somewhere in Okinawa (what is a good safe preficture?)
Places on the Izu peninsular
Around Kamogawa, Chiba
Nomzaki, Nagasaki
Kanazawa...

Though I'm just starting! I will appreciate any reply.

The further south you go the warmer it will be, but even Tokyo area winters are pretty mild.

Requesting rural means you will get likely get rural, but realize that sometimes rural means a village of a couple hundred people. I know people that wanted rural until they actually get it.

Okinawa would surely be nice if you can get it. But I imagine it is like requesting Hawaii (or Tokyo, for that matter).
