In short, the two companies have agreed to cooperate with each other in the developement of custom designed QR codes.

Denso, as you know, is the original creator of QR codes, yet it had been less than eager to develop custom designed QR codes because they occasionally don't get scanned correctly and Denso thought it could cause a decline in the customer trust.

A.T Communications, however, has successfully developed the LogoQ, which Denso believes will be in high demand in the near future. Denso has provided on license its patent rights to A.T Communications for the cooperated effort.

No problem.

I personally foresee so much future in QR Codes, yet you are just about the only non-Japanese person whom I've seen even mentioning them. Are QR Codes in any use in your country, whatever it might be?

They are just starting to appear here in limited ways, and there are QR Code Readers for smart phones available. Though at this point I bet 90% of Americans have never heard the term "QR Code".
