I want to work and live in Japan, how to do it?

I am currently living in the Philippines and am working in a Japanese company which sent me to Japan for a few months for meetings and trainings. I came to like Japan because of the clean and peaceful place, nice people and good food. I just don't know, but something's just pulling me to live there. That I am meant to be there. I want to work and live there so I was tracking all the possibilities. I am a Mechanical Drafter and a Designer in our company which specializes in building nuclear power plants in Japan. It is quite hard for me to find a good company to apply to in Japan, specially that I am not in there. Living there maybe would be the next plan, but if I can only find a good job for a gaijin like me who speaks conversational nihongo. What are your advices for me to achieve this goal. Thanks a lot! Yoroshiku onegai shimasu.

If you get a company to hire you, they would most likely want you living there, therefore they might help with the living aspect of what you want (ie, finding housing). Although I'm sure it depends on the company, really. My advice would be to try another visit to Japan, however briefly, and contact many different places willing to or needing your services. Perhaps receive addresses in that brief visit and then mail your resume (or equivalent) and plees to companies you believe may need your help.
I could definetly be wrong (I've not lived in Japan) but you could ask someone whose living there now to help you out :vsign:
