Where to go?!

I'm currently in Matsudo-shi, Chiba (about 35mins from Tokyo) but will be leaving Japan by Monday, 25th. So far I've been around downtown Tokyo(practically almost every stop in the Yamanote Line...), Odaiba and Yokohama. What other places, that includes restaurants, shops, parks etc., can you recommend?

I don't know but mail me on my keitai when you decide what you are doing this weekend and I'll meet you where ever you are going.

My aunt's taking me to Tokyo Dome City Saturday afternoon. I heard Tobudobutsukoen is nice. It's halfway Ota and Matsudo...

Do you want to stay in Tokyo? What sorts of things do you like doing?

aldine 06-19-2007 12:56 AM

Tokyo is ok. I enjoy sightseeing and a little shopping. I'll be going to Asakusa in a few to buy some stuff for friends and family back home. My only regret is missing Kyoto, Osaka and Nara. I never had the chance nor time to go there.

Mmm you should try going 'downtown', quite a different atmosphere. But errrmmmm I can't remember the names of the places with something interesting.

Oh and Tsukishima, for some good monjyayaki

These are some areas you might look into:

Shimokitazawa - hang out for young people with many live houses and cafes.
Nakameguro - nice little Tokyo area with shops, cafes, and a river.
Daikanyama - fashion shopping for Tokyo hipsters near Shibuya.

Nakameguro sounds nice...I'll look into it. Thanks :vsign:
