It`s a room in my house.
IF you were the type of person we would be willing to house, then it is open. I`m not just going to let *anyone* live in my house, you know?

2. What neighboring cities are found by Nagoya?
That depends on what you consider "neighboring". How far away can it be and still be considered a neighbor? How big does it have to be in order to be considered a city in your eyes? There are tons of cities - but I doubt you`ve heard of most of them.

Of season, on sale, short notice. Oh, and from the west coast of the US.

Mind me, I knew what Cello meant, was just trying to act smart for my own good. To be quite honest, I live near Los Angeles so I guess you can say the same applies to me as well.

Carrying on though, I definitely wouldn't mind getting to know you better and become good friends, but for the time being, it would be best to interact on the internet mutually considering I'm still in the process of finishing up my last year in high school as a senior and receiving my diploma (banzai?).

As for "neighboring cities", I basically meant what major cities are near Nagoya. For instance, Samokan earlier mentioned that Tokyo and Kyoto was near Osaka. So with that said, what majoring cities are near Nagoya?

from Osaka, Tokyo is a night bus away , by night bus that would be a minimum of 8 hours. Kyoto is the nearest to Osaka, around 40minutes by train.

Osaka - Tokyo - 8hours ( by night bus), 2 hours ( shinkasen )
Osaka - Kobe - 25 minutes
Osaka - Nara - around 1 hours
Osaka - Wakayama - 2-3 ( approx) hours by car
Osaka - Kyoto - 40minutes by train
Osaka - Shiga - 1-2 hours by train
Osaka - Mie - 2-3 hours
Osaka - Gifu - 7-8 hours by night bus
Osaka - Nagano - 7-8 hours by night bus,
Osaka - Himeji - 1 hour by train
Osaka - Nagoya - 1 hr ( approx by shinkansen ), 4 hours by local train :D
Osaka - Okayama -??? maybe around 4 hours I think ..

so there .. :vsign:

What's a shinkasen? Is it some sort of train or the like?

Xlll 05-12-2007 05:24 PM

Depends. What do you plan to do when you arrive in Japan? I'm quite sure your not planning to move to Japan to learn English.

Hello, I've been obsessed with japan since I was like 13.
Just barely went there for my first time in april (I'll be 20 this month) and got back 2 days ago, I loved it. I loved the people, and just....everything.
I've been wanting to live there for...geez I don't even know how long.
D: Well I have to say this thread depressed me.
I could have swore I've read a couple times at places that people got a work visa with just an associates degree. hnn.
I had my life all planned out, and if this is true...ah don't know what i'm going to do now. I don't see where it's written that you need a 4 year degree, can someone show me ?

(-___-;;; )

When you mean associate's degree, do you mean a degree earned from a community college?

Living in Japan with a computing course

Hello, I hope that you're ok.
I've got to be honest, you definitily inspired me I realy look up to you, I've always wanted to live in Japan but my parents say I'm crazy...oh well...what can you do? I'm currently taking a Computing course, I still have 2 college years ahead of me and 3 university years and I was wondering if I can have a decent life in Japan with a computing course?
I know how it is to be screwd over by someone that you're letting stay in your house, it happened to me, my dad and my brother in law (we live in the same house), the guy we had staying here stole my mobile phone, money from my dad and over £200 from my brother in law and he was the husband of my mothers friend, I always told her that I didn't like them, they didn't look right.
