Hey, we received your letters, but...

We received some letters, but we can't find your "Japan Forum names",
so I can't figure out who's who?!

Please don't forget put your Japan Forum name as well as your real name!

We have got 5 letters so far and we will need 15 or more!

If you are interested, just pm me!

Hava a good day minasan !

Takomaza 06-17-2008 12:18 AM

At the moment I only have students under 12 years old,
but in a few months, I am expecting a few more older students,
when I have more Japanese students who are interested in
having some penpals, I will come here again and leave another message!
so see you then:ywave:

I work at an English school in Japan.

We have many Japanese kids who would love to have
penpals from all over the world.

If you are interested, please
pm me first and tell me a bit about you.

then I will give you our snail mail address,
then start writing!

At the moment I received more than 15 pms but
received actual letters just 2 of them.

so you still have chance to get Japanese penpals!

We really think this is a very good way to learn the languages
and the culture, so we want only people who can actually
write to us.

just exchanging emails is the easiest way, but
not the best way sometimes.
It's very easy to get bored!Don't you think?

Exchanging actual letters with photos, some little gifts...
are more personal and funner!

Imagine when you find an airmail in your mailbox?

I got really excited when I got a letter from Australia for the first time!
That's the reason why I went to Australia to study English 3 years later.

and also...
If you are a student, please ask your parents if it's OK to join this penpal thing.
because you need some postal stamps for sending letters overseas.

Our students:

(b)=boy
(g)=girl

11~12years old (all boys)

4)Sho(b) loves to be #1! went to Australia to study English for 1 month with his mum in May.
5)Kanon(g) loves CareBear. wants to be a doctor in the future.
6)Nodoka(g) loves playing with her friends, very active(genki) girl!
7)Rei(b), good friend with Nodoka.
8)Ayamo(g) loves Totoro! loves animals! very cute kid.
9)Kento(b) can play piano very well!
under 4 years old

1)Mikito(b) he is the most genki kid in our school. loves cars!
2)Michika(g) she is the most genki kid among girls, loves frogs!

and their mothers also want to make pen friends all over the world!
they are in their 20s and 30s.

...
I guess you guys who are reading this message are much older than the kids, but
if any of your younger sister or brothers, or your sons or daughters are interested,
I will be happy to arrange this penpal things.

If you are interested, just feel free to Private-Mail to me;-)

hey that is so cool i want to make a new japanese friend! that is around 12 or 13. Please pm me back and i'll tell u stuff about me. thanks

ladyviollet 06-19-2008 05:56 PM

I'm interested as well, and I'm just about the perfect age! :3 I sent a PM

loveskyliemole 06-23-2008 03:47 PM

Hey,everyone who sent us letters!!

We received 8 letters now,
but some of them forgot to write their "JapanForum-names" so
I can't figure out who is who!

so if you sent us letters already,
please PM ME AGAIN to tell your real name and your JapanForum-name!

Our school is moving next week, to the better place.
so we will be a bit busy,
but my students started trying to reading your letters!
It's not easy for them to read English, especially hand-writing!

and plus it's not easy for them to write letters in English,

so please give us some time to reply you!

If you are reading this, but haven't sent us letters yet,

please try to write your message in Japanese, too!
even a short message!
and don't forget to put your photo or anything
to interest the Japanese students!

Any letter is appreciated, but because
our students are just "kids"
so "the letters (only the alphabet)" don't interest them much,
but if there are pictures, photos or anything with the letters
they will get more interested.

so talk to you all later:ywave:

Hastydragonfly 07-13-2008 06:04 AM

I would love to have a pen pal. what an awesome idea ill pm you and get all of the info..

loveskyliemole 07-13-2008 01:40 PM

Thank you for all of you who sent us letters.

Hello, genki desuka, minasan?

Thank you very much for your letters and all.

Now my students have been working on it, reading your letters & writing their letters.

For them, it's not easy to read English,

so please give them some time!

If you would like to know if your letter arrived or not,
please pm me with your real name and your JF name.

Now we have about 30 people, so it's hard for me to
figure out who(JF names) is who(real names).

and once your letter arrived, I will give it to the kid and her/his mother,
and it's going to be up to them how long it would take to write back.

Since they don't understand much English,it will take time.
So your patience will be appreciated.

If you haven't sent your letters, please make sure that

to write simple and clear English: otherwise they can't understand,
to write neatly! :We have a few letters which really hard to read their hand writing and none of the kids want to try to read it...,
to include your picture(photo).

Good luck!
:ywave:

Viru 07-13-2008 03:17 PM

Oh that explains why I didn't get any pm. I'll send details soon.
