Is there even any Japanese here?
 

I always notice the same old threads. Hi, I am from XXX and I am looking for Japanese friends. When was the last time anyone saw, "Hi I am Japanese and looking for friends from XXX!"

What I want to point out is, are there any Japanese here? And if there are, why I don't see them posting? What's the Japanese to foreigner ratio here? 0.01 maybe? Anyways, is there any forum or chatroom where we can actually meet Japanese people?

There are plenty of Japanese people. You just don't know it because they don't start every post with "Hi! I'm Japanese!" Not everyone flaunts their heritage.

Besides when someone does say they are japanese everyone jumps on them like hungry hyenas!

Well this is a forum for foreigners who are interested in Japan, so its kinda normal that theres not loads of Japanese members. But there are a few on here who are Japanese.

I am Japanese...if that means anything.

I know for sure that there are at least close to ten others who actually actively post. Many others have just posted once looking for friends or language partners and have remained kind of passive.

If you want to be really surrounded by Japanese, then you would probably need to go to Japanese-language sites.
