Looking for fellow geeks, nerds or webdevelopers in Japan

I'm looking for a fellow geek or nerd in Japan to talk about the trends, hypes and general chitchat in international webdesign, webdevelopment or programming in general.

I'm relatively advanced PHP5 developer (loving the Kohana framework), jQuery enthousiast, ActionScript3 noob, and skilled in both (X)HTML and CSS. I'd love to talk about the differences and similarities between "western" and "eastern" web design.

I might not frequent this forum very much, but be sure to drop me a message, preferably in English! :)

I don't think there are any big differences between western or eastern designs. I've been requested to code PSD to xHTML (japanese sites) and nothing really different.

I respectfully disagree :)

I think there is a world of difference, maybe not on first sight, but definately in small details. Especially if you look past the usual copy-cat, rather boring corporate designs.

If you're interested, Asiajin (Asiajin - Web Services/Companies/People Reports from Japan and Asia) has very interesting news from the Asian world of webdesign.
