Golden Week Denden Town Trip Guides/Friends Needed
 

Hey guys and girls!

I'm currently doing a foreign exchange studying at KUFS (Kyoto University for Foreign Studies). Me and some of the other guys and girls from the foreign student dorms are going to go together to Denden Town in Osaka during Golden Week. I think it would be really cool to meet up with some Japanese guys or even other English-speakers to go around together and enjoy the otaku culture there.

If you've been there before, are close and have some free time during the Golden Week holiday please meet up with us and show us around! I'd like to make a good network of anime/game fan friends around here so we can chat about stuff and go shopping for goods together.

I'm not sure what day during Golden Week we're going, but it's coming up soon so please respond quickly. If you're interested we can exchange cell numbers and figure out a meeting time and place.

Den Den town is not Akihabara, so I am not sure what you are expecting. If you are looking for Otaku sites Denden town is a start, but also go to Mandarake in Shinsaibashi and in Umeda. They both have maid cafes on the top floors.

I was planning to hit the Mandarakes around this time to search for KOR stuff...

owh.. I didn't know that they have maid cafe in Kansai too..

Maid Cafes are everywhere someone thinks they can make a buck (or yen) by doing it. I believe my town has at least one, but I have never gone there. Mandarake in Shinsaibashi, has one on the top floor...
