Hi,everyone!!!!! I see these pretty nice people don't mind taking up their
time just to tell me how to go to Japan!!! I really can't wait to go, if I get to go! Honestly, I mainly get on the computer and find out what I can learn right now like Japanese words and just like "Sanchii" said, "You need to get good grades". I pretty much used to get good grades, like back BEFORE fourth grade, but now I get A's B's AND C's. Truly, I have been getting C's ever since fourth grade, my dad and mom think it's OK,but I think it stinks! My dad did
say that if I start getting ALL I MEAN ALL A's again he will give me fifty dollers.
Yes, I get paid for my report card. Well, sorry if I kind of got off subject, but
THANKS FOR THE ADVICE!!! All of you, I really appreciate it. :vsign: :D :ywave:

'Hi' depends on time of day. Morning - 'Ohayo Gozaimasu', Afternoon - 'Konnichi wa' (can be used as general hello aswell), Evening - 'Konban wa', Goodnight - Oyasumi (nasai (polite if added)). For 'bye', 'Sayonara', or 'Shitsurei shimasu' if you want to be polite. I guess 'I can't wait to go', can be, '...(place).... Ikitaidesu', which is 'I want to go to' or the equivalent. E.g. Nippon Ikitaidesu = I want to go to Japan. I'm sure thats correct, but being a forum I expect some smart-arse to jump in & 'correct' me. lol

(I used the last phrase of Twitter, to which a number of my Japanese followers replied 'Come on then' & 'Ganbatte!') :D

In my experience, "さようなら" is more intended on if you're not going to see someone for an extended period, so it can be off-putting if you say it to a friend. And "失礼します" is like super polite and awkward as well.

A simple じゃあね! should suffice.

For Cayla's benefit, さようなら = sayonara, 失礼します = Shitsurei shimasu & じゃあね = jya ne! (which is 'see you!')
