Doujinshi and stuff :)
 

Hi all! I found this forum while looking for advice for my trip to Japan, but since I'm into Japanese inspired art I thought I'd pop into this side of the forum too :) I'm actually going to Japan with some members of my doujinshi and art circle. Here's a few things that I've done recently:

^ the first page of my short Naruto doujinshi my group are publishing for our anime convention this year ^_^ (read english style, left --> right)

Thanks! And really? The con is this weekend, and I'm a bit nervous that I won't sell anything because I'm not really doing fanart or even a particularly 'anime' style heheh. Good to know someone likes it at least ^_^

Heck yeah! I'd love to open my book and see the crazy, cute little bunnies on a bookmark ~_^ I think you'll definitely have some sales; although it may not be anime style, it's amazing and unique art. And that HAS to get noticed ~_^

Thanks! Shikamaru is my fave too, had to do a doujinshi with him in it :vsign: I'm hoping to work on my comic making skills a bit and release an original comic for next year's con.

i don't think your comic making skills need more work, i like it. (n_n)v

if only there were comipa's where i'm at.. *sigh* (v_v)

Heh there's always room to improve! My panelling is a bit too static, I think, and I'm far too slow.

Most of the other artist are craaazy good, way better than me XD We're doing a Kingdom Hearts doujinshi, the Naruto one, one of our group is doing fanart bookmarks, quite a few people are doing original prints... gonna be fun to try and sell it all!

It was on the weekend just past actually, and was awesome! I managed to sell almost all of my stuff and take out a prize for best female in the cosplay contest - I couldn't believe it! The other artists I was selling with did fantastically as well, and quite a few of them also won prizes for their cosplay. Fantastic, though exhausting weekend over all :vsign: Thanks for the vote of confidence you guys, really meant a lot!
