My condolences there, Evev. I agree. Why photograph cemeteries when there are tons of more photogenic things out there to be shot? I'm not putting you down or anything, just curious. ^^

Well artistic interest shouldn't be limited like that either. Though I don't exactly agree with posting the pictures like this without getting some kind of consent from the family to that grave.

I've taken a few shots of gravestones myself. I did so because I saw the beauty and how well composed they were in respect for who lies beneath it. It wouldn't be fair to start circulating single images of graves over the new though.

I wouldn't exactly call a photo album exclusive of gravestones "limited". If beauty and composure are part of the criteria for having an "artistic interest", wouldn't tons of entities still score well above gravestones?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder though, not something that can simply be standardized.

Lol, I figured :mtongue:

It's just if I could better understand the hobby of discussion, I could better sympathize - and make something productive out of it.
Thanks anyway. :)

Well they are good pictures with a lot of depth to them. Again though it is slightly disrespectful to the families of those graves if no consent was made to publicize them like this.

Agrees with the others about the consent part or at least thank them for the pictures like Hya said.

I think looking & the pics are cool but I don't think I would ever go into 1 just to take pics!!!:coldbear: Kind of creeps me out. Well when I'm not sober I'd prolly do it. You should take some at night with a full moon just to get that cool professional photography look.

Neat pics! Definitly different from the regular slab stones I've seen.
My father's is an iron plaque.
Are these graves on a slight hillside?
