Geisha : )

Found an old photograph of a geisha off flickr and drew it earlier today.

The hair was the funnest part to draw : D

Oh and I don't draw faces, I'm never satisfied. Same with the hand, that was a two second deal.

(I'm horrible with detail, since the kimono was really hard to see since it was an old photo. SO I pretty much made up my own wierd designs on it.)

(Don't even mention the umbrella, I know. I did it in five minutes haha)

: D

I was bored, really.

Yeah, it's because she has her arm bent that the sleeve is sticking in that direction. (in the real picture at least, my drawing I just kinda messed up) : D

I plan on buying a kimono in the future... they're all so pretty!

I know! I was kind of dissapointed, but since I love Ziyi Zhang, the movie did not change for me : )

Well it wasn't the movie's fault that Japanese actresses didn't want to audition. It was go with other asians or no movie.

I think she did a terrific job, especially because she had to learn english for this role but speak it with a Japanese accent.

Yeah, she's amazing!
The movie had the most cultural art in it that I've seen, and the kimono's were gorgeous!!

Have you read the book? You so should, the film is okay but really, it's not a patch on the book. I was even a little disappointed when i saw the film, but they i am one of those people who get very attached to the novel so films are always a bit of a let down.

Anyway, i really like your picture- and i didn't notice the butt thing til i read the comment! :)

I'm about to order the book, after all this time hearing that it was really good, I'd rather read it for myself and see! : D

The film was really artistic, most people i know that are my age wouldn't appreciate anything like that.

Thank you!!
hahahaha, me neither, i find it a funny mess-up. : D
