I love the dog! so cute lol

the main problem with this one is your line of action, see how he's leaning to his right?
kinda looks like hes gonna fall over.

heres a quick sketch to show u what i mean.

u should always make sure the character is balanced unless its in the middle of an action, ie. running, jumping, etc...
but since your character is simply standing, he should be balanced.
keep up the good work though! would love to see more from you :)

Thanks for that! When I drew him that way I did it to show how the puppy's weight was affecting him. It's hard to stand up with a wiggleh puppy! lol! Also, I wanted to kind of give it a pre-'hereigotthisforyou' look X3 Thanks so much, though! I like that line of motion thing! -will experiment >:D-

久し振り、皆と絵を見せて上げますね。
I can't remember the last time I posted one of my creations.
First up is a Stitch cutout (performed with a stiff sheet of paper and an exacto-knife). 2nd up, fresh off the scanner with a old logo popped in. Sketch/ink and ready to be redone in illustrator.

@kcyk8703-Great work on the Stitch cutout.

Hello MissMissa!

Did a paintover-ish thing for your first picture!

so, first things first. your balance.
if you look at the red line going down through your character, it hits the floor between her two feet. which is usually fine. but, in your case, most of the character's weight is on her right leg (since the left leg is bent)
therefore, you should push the right leg back over to the center which is where she would be balanced. (i think i pushed it a little too far back, oops)
the other problem i noticed was your eyeline.
head is tilted to her right, eyes don't quite line up, close... but not quite.
other than that it looks great.
keep up the good work MissMisa.

oh and, for your second picture, it's awesome, the lines on the sides of her nose are a bit strong however, you could probably get rid of them alltogether.

c ya!

troo, you are a fantastic artist, great stuff. especially the photography!
that one picture on the subway is too heavily compressed though, i'd love to see a higher quality picture of that.

as for your hand drawn pictures, i just think you should use more pencils so you can get nicer dark areas, get a higher contrast.

take it easy

It's a style of my own that I've adapted; it was sorta supposed to follow the guidelines of huge (undetailed) eyes, and a lower placed nose (which is hard to do, considering I'm the kind of person that foams at the mouth for correct placement).

But I will agree that picture is a little off. It was a last minute drawing I did at the end of a test in chemistry class, so I don't really beat myself up for it like I usually would -_-;

Thanks for your comments :)

haha, sorry for the misunderstanding. as soon as i see big heads and small bodies i immediately think CHIBI!
since thats the case though, i'd say work on your line quality. try to get smoother curves, fewer and more precise lines.
but still! always keep in mind human anatomy, no matter what the style is, a human should still look like a human.

would love to see more of your stuff!

peace

That's not terrible!!

it looks to me like you're shying away from having to draw complex poses though.
and possibly hands?

i recommend you try drawing characters in as many poses as you can think of.
running, jumping, sitting, walking, standing... etc...
things won't be perfect at first, but they will get better the more you do it!
also, when you become comfortable drawing people in poses try drawing them from different angles.
what does would a person look like if you looked up and they jumped over you?
try drawing that.

がんばて!
