Almost in the same situation I've been a long time ago, but I took the risk to talk to her, and she was the best anyone can find in this world and she liked me, a much too weird acting and normal looking guy.

Seriously, just go up to her and say hi. If you have a class with her ask if she'd like to be partners. It's really easy, and you'll probably discover the "sweet innocent girl of your dreams" has a boyfriend and you'll get over her.
